footballin
Finney from HD. They weren't supposed to win a game this season and ended up district champs. He saved HD from drowning!
badndn
Neuman will win 20-4A COY and Mathews will be 1st runner up, but they were supposed to win with good returning talent. Babin is overall Golden Triangle COY.
Txdragon
One fact about Deweyville, the Pirates have not won a district championship since 1983. Babin has done tremendous job. I agree that Coach Spears at Community Christian should be mentioned as well. Building a powerhouse in the second year of a school is a great accomplishment.Neuman and Mathews are great coaches also and have done great work this season. If you get excited about about Neumann winning back-to-back undefeated district titles, then you have to be excited about WOS's Cornel Thompson. LC-M's Randy Crouch had a very young team that looked absolutely terrible against WOS in the opening game and almost took them to the playoffs. Biscuithead1
I would have to say Coach Babin from Deweyville. I've been a Pirate fan for 30 plus years and have only witnessed this kind of leadership since the last time we won District under Lucky Gamble...another one of the greatest coaches ever!! H-D BOBCAT 55
Hands down Hull-Daisetta's Coach Josh Finney. HD was on a 5 year losing streak and Dave Campbell's Magazine picked HD dead last in District. Coach Finney and the HD Bobcats are now undefeated District Champs at 7-3. Deweyville had a pretty good team last season.
