Bridge City Freshman/JV tourn 11/15 - 11/17

Nederland will have 3 teams playing. 2 freshman teams (1playing up in the JV division) and their JV team

Nederland Freshman (playing in JV bracket) beat Buna 69  16 
The boys started off slow but got it going. Next game is at 4 pm at BC  HS  vs the winner of BC and Kelly

HJ freshman beat WestBrook freshman "B" team by 31 (game was only 3 qtrs because WB showed up late).

WB JV beat HJ JV by about 15 I think; don't remember final score.

PNG Freshmen beat Buna 57-22.  Great job Indians! Play Orangefield tomorrow at 9:20 am!

Orangefield 9th beat New Caney Porter by about 20.  Orangefield JV beat Legacy by 40.

PNG Freshmen won 45-21 over Orangefield.  I wasn't there, but from what I hear, it looks like we play Hardin Jefferson at 8 am tomorrow.  Go Indians!!

PNG freshman group looked pretty good.

Also, when I left the Nederland "Sophmore team" (really their best freshmen) was drumming the West Brook JV something like 18-7.

HJ JV rebounds with wins against Lumberton & Kelly & will play in the consolation final tomorrow.

Nederland freshman win over West Brook JV was 53 to 52 in overtime. Ned took off and built a 10 to 12 point lead quickly. Westbrook fought back and throughout the 2nd half game was tied several times, but I don't think WB ever had the lead. Great game to watch as a fan......well as a Nederland fan  :)

Although it will be Ned Freshmen and Ned JV in the championship Im not sure we will see the exact matchup Mr Happy was referring to 8)

It has been confirmed that Ned Freshman will not play the Ned JV tomorrow for the championship game. Ned Freshman will play Orange Field at 12 and Ned JV will play Westbrook at 1:20. The decision was made in the best interest of the program. I personally agree with the decision...

Just a question and not knocking Ned, But why put the Freshmen team in the JV tourney then? Let'em play the JV.

English split his Fresh and part of same played in the Fresh tourney. He wanted his more experienced Fresh to get better competition.

These boys play one another in practice every day. It would serve no purpose in their development. I think Coach E cares more about getting all these boys more "real game" experience.
