Wow, Newton is lights out this year, IMO anything less than a trip to Dallas next month would suprise me.  The Pirates are playing really good right now, they have gotten better as the year went along once Coach Babin's offense/defense schemes were learned.  Would love to see these two play this year.

I would be willing to bet they would have made the playoffs in Newton's District. Fun thread to speculate about this game, obviously Newton should win and that would be a great challenge for the Pirates.

I agree with that......Newton would beat deweyville even in one of Newton's down years.  Newton would beat deweyville 75-0.  EC is better than deweyville and look what happend to them.

Don't know how to act? Why cause it's different than the way you act? We are proud and yes delirious with emotion from our team's sucess this year and that's a bad thing? Not being used to winning is what makes this year that much more special, something you obviously wouldn't know anything about.

WS, Alto, SA IS tougher than deweyville's district.  CC and NW are not very good....they will exit the playoffs quick.  Hemphill and shiro are pitiful.......Newton could combined their 8th and JV and beat those two teams.  Deweyville is solid and have a shot to win their first playoff game.  AS for all the talk that Babin should be coach of the year might be reaching a bit........He got the deweyville job at the right time.  Just like Bickham (a good coach) did in 2005.  SOmetimes a good coach can be at the right place at the right time.  IMO does not mean he hasnt done a good job at Deweyville.....

I disagree, Groveton beat Alto and SA beat us, bottom tier of the District is weak like most are. CC and NW beat Woodville the only head to head with that District so I disagree with your assessment.  Coach Babin brought a whole different scheme offensively and defensively to Deweyville and he made several personnel changes on both sides of the ball.  Like SA's Coach said after our game this year, if the same Coach was here at Deweyville we would have beat you 60-0.  Coach Babin deserves credit for making the changes he did.
