He came to help you but needs a lot of help himself.. I know that the past 2 yrs Newton has gotten to week 12 and lost well guess what week this is "WEEK 12".. All these ppl coming on here saying Teague has NO chance well thats why we play the game because in every round someone loses that wasn"t suppose to.. I know the Teague Lions will not come friday to quit they are coming to play Newton all 4 quarters.. Newton has never seen a passing game like they will see come friday and if they are looking past my Lions well this will be the 3rd yr in a row they bounce basketballs after week 12..

I still say the Eagles will win, but it will not be a blowout like some are predicting.

I understand your opinion but that isn't going to happen.  Newton will be ready to play after having a week to heal any injuries.  Teague will run into a buzz saw...  Newton is young and will make some mistakes but their athletism will cover those mistakes quickly.

Skinner- 6'0" 175- Soph.- 222 completions, 390 attempts, 3,384 yards, 46 touchdowns, 10 interceptions- One of the most wise young QB's you'll see, can put throws on the money alot of kids at 2A level can't. 8 touchdowns on the ground to go along with the passing numbers.

Mitchell- 5'10" 185- Soph.- 77 catches, 1335 yards, 24 touchdowns- Had 6 catches for 178 yards and 2 touchdowns last week. Very explosive- Can run with the best of them

Brooks- 6'4" 180- Sr.- 40 catches, 743 yards, 8 touchdowns- Didn't play against Palmer- Utilized in different positions. Very unselfish kid, just wants to win. Brooks has also added 7 touchdowns on the ground.

Why should they be scared?
Teague will score on Newton, no doubt about that.
Their offense will be the best that Newton has seen this year, their defense is what is suspect.
If Teague's defense can make some stops, this game will become very [b]winnable[/b](if that is a word.  ;D)

I still say Newton will win, but not shocked if Teague does win.

You may want to let the powers at be at Newton know that this is a direct violation of UIL Constitution and Contest Rules 2012-2013 Section 1208 ...
(n) MASCOTS, FIREARMS, PYROTECHNIC DEVICES, BALLOONS. Live animal mascots, cannons, firearms, fireworks, etc. are prohibited at League athletic contests. [b]Except in their normal course of business, emergency vehicles shall not flash lights or sound sirens during the course of a game.[/b] Noisemakers are prohibited at League athletic events held in field houses and/or gymnasiums. Releasing balloons is prohibited at League athletic events held outdoors.

Well there is a lot of teams all over the state of texas who blew horns and sirens and have crazy noise makers so there are a lot of teams in vilolation of that stupid rule.

Former Newton and McNeese great Ceasar Brooks passed away today at the age of 39 from unknown cause, he was a all American at McNeese and multiple all state in 90-92 @Newton he still holds state power lifting records in powerlift  ..  prayers for the family.
