adminbaberuth Posted November 17, 2012 Report Posted November 17, 2012 Game was too close in the 4th quarter, Dayton never quit. Nederland's defense is strong and athletic. Both teams have excellent FG kickers, both had off days. I thought Raines played well, missed a couple but overall has really came on. Stampley had a good game. Not one of the better Dayton teams I've seen in the past.

BRONX ROX Posted November 17, 2012 Report Posted November 17, 2012 GREAT HIGHSCHOOL FOOTBALL GAME. HATS OFF TO NED WHO CONTROLED THE GAME FROM KICK OFF AND A BRONX TEAM THAT WAS 9-2 AND PLAYED TILL THE END. I WILL BE PULLIN FOR YA NED THE REST OF THE WAY ;)

Is that an improvement?

Crosby was a good team and so was Dayton, nothing slouchy on either team. Both were tough games for Nederland. Never take them lightly. Nederland has tough road and I know that Neumann & Co will prepare them for each challenge. I still singing that Aggie War Hymn.......... 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)
baddog Posted November 18, 2012 Report Posted November 18, 2012 Mack, you got any stats on Hopkins. He had a workhorse of a day and was close to breaking runs for TDs several times. Just wondering how many yards he ended up with.
dogbite Posted November 18, 2012 Report Posted November 18, 2012 We had 2 100yard rushers in this game! 133 by Hopkins and 116 by Carson

Ned always has to hear how other team's QBs will out athlete us. How does that scrambler we have look now. Raines played a very good game.
scapegoat Posted November 18, 2012 Report Posted November 18, 2012 Dayton's kicker, punter is the real deal.Best I have ever seen. The ability to do both so well is very unique. The on-side kick was top notch also even if I think we got hosed on the call.Anyone know who he is going to sign with.
Guest Posted November 18, 2012 Report Posted November 18, 2012 Possibly LSU, but has numerous offers. Up to him really.
bulldawg64 Posted November 18, 2012 Report Posted November 18, 2012 where ever he goes some school will get the real deal, the punts were spirals, been playing since his freshman yeari believe
Cougtalk Posted November 18, 2012 Report Posted November 18, 2012 This just must be the Score Nederland likes vs 19-4a.

BrenhamFan Posted November 18, 2012 Report Posted November 18, 2012 Congrats to Nederland! Dayton, you guys had a good season. When's the last time Brenham & Dayton were both bounced in the first round? :-\
cooligan Posted November 18, 2012 Report Posted November 18, 2012 It's sad Dayton's coaching staff didn't find a way for Caranco to break the record this year. I'm sure during some of those blowouts they could have settled for a FG rather than a TD. They probably just kept thinking his chances would come later. Unfortunately, later never came and this 4 yr starter came up short. Great kicker and punter. Just may see him on Sunday's someday. Sorry Liltex. I would like to hear your thoughts when you're ready.
Michele Posted November 18, 2012 Report Posted November 18, 2012 Congrats to my DOGS! Proud of the way you handled business today. Now, on to the next round.
phunter308 Posted November 18, 2012 Report Posted November 18, 2012 I agree Husker. Sad the coaches could not help him out. I guess winning by 30 or 40 is more important then breaking a state record. Juan you are one heck of a kicker. We will see him playing on Saturdays real soon. Where were all the Dayton fans today. SAD turn out.
bronco pride Posted November 18, 2012 Report Posted November 18, 2012
Congrats to Nederland! Dayton, you guys had a good season. youthinkyouknow Posted November 18, 2012 Report Posted November 18, 2012 Congrats Nederland. Glad to see someone still representing the Golden Triangle. I hope you keep advancing in playoffs.
Majestyk Posted November 18, 2012 Report Posted November 18, 2012 Can 19-4A still sweep 20-4A like someone said or does this make it impossible? Good job 'Dogs, how did you ever beat the mighty Broncos?
