AkAQuarterHorse Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 How has Jasper looked in their last couple of games? I haven't seen them play since earlier this season against Wo-s.
texaggies07 Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 I'm sure the will be prepared. The Barbay brothers I'm sure have talked about this one. I think Navasota will win it, but I think it is gonna be a dog fight.
purpleeagle Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 Pulling for you Jasper but believe Navasota will win by 4 TD's.

RattlerBlue Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 Navasota vs Jasper is always entertaining. Jasper has the ability to make it close but I think the Rattlers win.Navasota 38-14.
j_dog Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 Last couple of games? Jasper edged Center to take top spot in Div II, second in district. Then rolled a 6 and 4 Groesbeck team Friday night. Three of Groesbeck TD's came after the outcome of the game was no longer in question.I think the two teams are pretty close talent wise. It will come down to which team executes the best. And the edge should go to Navasota on experience and execution. Going to be tough for Jasper to go home with a win.
skipper Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 IMO if jasper coaches did there homework i belive thay can stay close in this game .Navasota pride themself on the passing game with the QB and wide outs.Navasota passing game is outstanding and love to strike fast and keep presser on other teams with there D. as of this time it dont look like NO ONE has found away to stop there passing game. all of this i am telling you comes from news papers and watching them on your tube DO YOUR HOMEWORK JASPER
Guest Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 Thanks for coming Jasper, get ready for basketball.
skipper Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 sorry we can we still have a game next week
Spherictrey Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 In past years I would probably tell you that our chances were slim but with coach Barbay, I feel there is a chance in any game that Jasper plays.
sully Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 Bulldogs lose this one. Navasota is a very very good team.
skipper Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 i am not saying navasota is a bad team look what thay are ranked #1 in the state in 3a.jasper dose have a very good coaching staff same as you guys if jasper cant stop the passing game it will be a blow out hope to see you in dallas close to christmas
VNUPE Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 The key for Jasper will be pressuring the quarterback. They are very capable of that. However, if Navasota has time to throw, they may exploit Jasper's young secondary. If that happens, it's gonna be a long night. Good luck Bulldogs.
skipper Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 i agree with you navasota runs the same O as dose wo-s so jasper has seen wo-s and did a great job hope thay can bring presser with arms up GO JASPER
bulldogs1990 Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 You will see a different defense for jasper three down lineman and three lb and 5 defensive backs linebackers will be putting some receivers a hit if they want forget if they do a slant it will be a good game
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 hope its a competitive game. 8)
skipper Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 the QB reads the LB he can run i was told but time will tell lets see who can read the QB thats one of the keys the other thay dont like no one to play tight agnest there wide outs it puts a kink in there timeing i belive who ever plays smart football and dont turn the ball over will win
j_dog Posted November 20, 2012 Report Posted November 20, 2012
You will see a different defense for jasper three down lineman and three lb and 5 defensive backs linebackers will be putting some receivers a hit if they want forget if they do a slant it will be a good game
now u have given away the hole game plan! :o :(
nasty661 Posted November 20, 2012 Report Posted November 20, 2012 Navasoda is rank number one but immediate pulling for Jasper in this one
JB94 Posted November 20, 2012 Report Posted November 20, 2012 Our defense has really improved this year. But, our weakness is still in the secondary. So, Navasota will be successful if we are unable to get pressure on the quarterback. On the offensive side, Navasota can stop our offense if they can stop the run. Our passing game is average and totally feeds off our ability to run. We'll have to play a near perfect game. My prediction is a Navasota win via blow-out OR a very close Jasper win. Go Dogs!

If Jasper is going to win, it will be because of coaching and execution. It's gotta show up early, too. We're not built for comebacks.

Jasper was the overwhelming favorite because we were hands down more athletic and had D-1 level size all over the field. But, we were totally out-coached and out-executed in that game early on. By time we caught on, Burnet was up 21 points and we never recovered. That has to be the most heartbreaking loss in Jasper history - we were the favorite to face Everman in state that year after dropping down from 4A.

That game plan work pretty good working the play clock down to the last sec. keeping the ball out of there hands.
