North of Jacksonville on Hwy 69. About halfway between Jacksonville and Tyler. Gonna be a drive. Eagles will make it worth it.  ;) 156 miles from Bon Wier. 3 hour driving time. Plenty of time to get fired up!!! ;D ;D

I punched it into my gps earlier and it is 156 miles from Bon Wier. A 3 hour drive. My wife better strap in and hold on is all I can say. She can talk all she wants, I usually don't listen anyways. Go Eagles!! Let's go rip the stripes off them Zebras! :)

Its obvious: If the zeb's offense cant stop the Eagles defense the zeb's wont score. Newton dont give up more than 17 points a game and with that they still score over 50 points against their opponent. Is that broken down good enough for you. Yes Newton will Win.. Once you give your word, don't go back on it. Young people nowadays don't seem to understand this. Maybe he'll learn from this and grow as a person. I think the point was made when our JV players drove down the field in the fourth quarter. They got to the 17 yard line before turning the ball over on downs. We coulda scored more. And I'm talking JV not second team. As for Grandview, I think they will be more of a challenge. A well rounded team.  :)

I have been using a comparison predictor on another website, and it picks Franklin to beat Tatum. I've been using it and tracking the results throughout the playoffs and it is running above 88% accurate. That's in all classifications. It's just for fun, but pretty accurate. No one knows, that's why you play the games as the old adage goes. I just want Newton to beat Grandview right now. We'll worry about next week next week.  ;)

They have to first get by Lago Vista and then the winner of the Hallettsville/Hempstead game. I'm all for confidence, but looking past people is a recipe for going home with your tail between your legs, especially at this time of year. Every year there are teams in different classifications that wind up in the finals that no one predicted would make it there. Could be any one of the three I mentioned year. As I've said before, it takes a good team and a bit of luck to win the title. 8)

Eagle is correct.  Although Herrington Stadium at the boarding school Brook Hill is a very nice stadium, the game will be played at the Bullard High School stadium which is Panther Stadium.  Panther Stadium is also a very nice and is only four years old.
