Region 3 looks to be much stronger next year, and SC will probably be about the same. Probably with a weaker offense...lose two of your best WR and your RB's, those type of losses are 50/50 depending on who have you behind them. Torrey Johnson will be good, but i am skeptical about the rest. How many "Starters" are returning for SC, and by starters....people who started at least 7 games this season?[/quote]According to my neighbor, who is a junior, says the 2014 class will be really good. Dont know who the starters will be other than our entire oline will return, our 2nd string rb who had more carries than our starter. he actually said we will have 2 wrs that are 6'4 and 6'3...they both played varsity but one was a soph safety... yea torrey and our TE kam will return...we will lose 2 great Lbs, but we have others...iwill ask him again when i see him

It was all fine and dandy this season when y'alls numbers "technically" put you in 5A but yet due to UIL realignment you're still 4A. Have fun with BB season!! ;D

What we all witnessed was a convulgance of the worst possible outcomes coming to fruition. 1. Humble head coach for the last 8 years stepped down, and Coach Charles West (OC from State champion Dekaney Wildcats) was hired. He was hired and brought in Early april. Not enough time for him to have spring ball. 2. Staff turnover wasn't completed until August. 3. Brand new staff, brand new system, and a bunch of kids who have been used to the previous head coach way of doing things.4. 2 starters returning from a 4-6 team. A small depleted Senior class (Thank you SC) 5. Fall practice was used to install a brand new system. The result, a 2-8 season. One in which the offense never got any footing . Suprisingly (much to my disbelief) The defense was actually very good. I know that it didn't seem that way to those that watched, but that DC knows what he is doing. The kids are raw, but the scheme is VERY effective. They just had to play 35-40 of the 48 minutes and were bruised and battered by the 4th game in. If the offense can come along, they will be a handful for the top 4 teams. Now i won't say they make a playoff spot, but they will challange for who ever is 4th best team. We saw glimpses of what they could do, but circumstances just didn't allow for that tree to bare fruit. I mean they were doing pretty good against a much deeper and more experianced SC team. had them what? 14-5 at halftime. We just didn't have the gas to run with them for another two quarters. ill say 6-4 or 7-3.

SC did come out expecting Humble to lay down for them....and Humble didn't. Gave them a half...then reality sunk it and their offense wasn't nearly good enough to move the ball, and the defense was dead tired.
