The Greatest Show on Turf was beaten today by a very fine 5A Georgetown Eagle team.  Congratulations to GTown on their win and Congratulations in advance for beating the brakes off the remaining 4A Division I field.  Angleton should get ready to turn in their pads.  Angleton is a good 4A and will be robbed by having to play a 5A team next week (as will Dawson after they destroy Nederland next week).  Keep your heads up guys, GTown should have stayed in 5A this year and dropped next year after the 90% senior team left.

This GTown team reminds me very much of a Humble team a few years back during their first year dropping to 4A.  Same deal.  We faced a 5A team that year.  The true 4A Humble team was the following year and thereafter.

We are the Greatest Show on Turf and THE BEST TRUE 4A TEAM IN THIS REGION hands down.

Now, the rest of you can take your shots, but it won't change the fact GTown is robbing 4A teams this year.  Angleton will see next week.

You're high and mighty until your teams loses fair and square to a team that has [b]lower[/b] enrollment and you come up with the [u]worst[/u] excuses. Sure, we're here to talk football, some trash, and have fun, but you ruin it for everyone. You are so freaking stubborn. Take your loss like a true fan and admit the other team was better today. It happens. Fans like you give fan bases bad reputations, and I hate to see that. I think we may have found a fan base that is more delusional than Dayton after a purple cool aid run ;) 19-4A Just got thier butts handed to them in Round 2 nothing more and nothing less. I also thought that SC may have something special this year ,but heck after watching FB Marshal in DivII they would beat SC. :'( I think Nederland just dodged a bullet with Connaly's QB getting knocked out of the game or we would all be playing B-Ball 8)

(EX:Took out a huge Brazoswood BUCS team this season 69-28) so 5A don't scare us. We were hoping to get a chance to whoop 'yall too, but.... Oh well, maybe next year! ;D

[/quote]sb was all on sc **ts. He even said that sc reminded him of lake travis. Lt would have beat sc by 50. Dallas and austin area teams have better coaching and talent lately. I dont think a 4a team from this area has won a state title since lm in 05 or 06. I watch alot of high school football and knew sc was not a title contender. Freakin vidor almost had 500 yds of offense on them that should have been a big wake up call. I still think tyler john tyler or denton guyer or the teams to beat. Denton guyer played for a 5a title 2 years ago and have great coaching.

After watching the SC and GT game live and then on film, SC was never good enough to win state or even get out of the region.  This team couldn't have beat Dawson, Nederland, Friendswood or Angleton!  There are guys on offense and defense that are taking plays off all game long.  It's your basic team that plays well when it's easy and rolls over and dies when it gets hard.

SC could take a lesson from the only 4a team left playing. Nederland will play you physical all the way til the end. Vidor will also. Lessons learned. Summer Creek changed what they do best at halftime and the new look SC didnt have a chance from then on out.

People like y'all revolve around passing and offense. Nederland has a defensive minded coaching staff like likes to run the ball down your throat. SC would score 21 max on Nederland. And Ned with Hopkins will just run down your throat then let Carson hit you over the top with our fast recievers
