This will be a great matchup...Nederland will see a passing game unlike they have seen all year and GTown will see a defense unlike any they have seen all year...Nederland plays a slower, more methodical game, GTown is up tempo, fast paced...defense wins championships and I thnk the Dogs are smelling the prize...Nederland 31, Georgetown 28

Teams that have combined to go 6-2 in the playoffs thus far. Also the Gtown D held Angleton to just 14 offensive points through 3 quarters, so the final score is a little skewed. Nederland will have to score quick, and maintain a lead. Georgetown wins in a tight one.

You have skewed scores in lots of games. Gee, if only we hadn't fumbled, or thrown that INT, or ran that punt for a TD. It happens. Its called football. It's why we play.

Whatever you try to take away from Angleton, you have to take away from Georgetown, who benefited from some turnovers also. The score is not that skewed.

I dont think too many people are cocky. Nederland is for sure the underdog again, and I embrace it. The Dogs left it all out there on the field against Pearland Dawson with a nothing-to-lose mentality. Going to need that same mentality to walk out with a win against Georgetown. Georgetown is apparently on a whole different level than Nederland or Dawson. We might as well be playing a college team this week. I say.... Not so fast my friend! Nederland will be able to get enough pressure with their front 4 to force the GT QB into some bad decisions. As long as the secondary plays the way they have all season, the Dogs will come away with a win. Nederland needs two turnovers. 21 points will be enough for the Dogs but I'm going to give them a defensive TD on top of that..

That's because of the Georgetown culture. "Eagle fight never dies". I have never seen a Gtown team give up no matter how bad they are...since 1980. In 1999 they rallied back against Lufkin from a 28-0 deficit in the 3rd quarter to tie the game. The always lay it on the line and die on the battle field

Georgetown runs a sugar huddle offense that spreads the ball around to three different WR's
They do run the the ball effectively on fly sweeps and QB zone reads.They are efficient and capitalize off of opponents turnovers. No blazing speed but well coached.
Defensive has a bend but not break mentality. Will give up yardage between 20's and then clamp down towards the goaline. Angleton was by far the best offense Georgetown has seen. Wildcats backs are underrated in my opinion. West And cooper are extremely quick. Speed around the edge is how you can take advantage of Georgetowns D. Any questions about Gtown feel free to ask.
