Breaux Bridge is not any good this year. Saw them at Nederland tourney. Anahauc and Woodville are down from past years.

Nobody is a bigger HJ supporter than me, but it is very hard for me to understand how HJ could be tied with Central for the #1 local spot only a couple of weeks after Central manhandled the Hawks.  That top spot ought to be the exclusive property of Central at this point in time.

How many voters are there?  If both of you had it ranked that way, that can only mean there were some who had the opposite.  Can't figure out how anyone could rationally come to that conclusion.

There are 6 of us who vote. 3 had Central #1, 3 had HJ #1.

I understand now how the voting broke down but dont understand the logic of picking someone as #1 who recently lost convincingly to the other #1

Interesting, when you compare Central vs Ozen's schedule, Ozen has played a tougher schedule and against more ranked teams.

it's one of those things... what's more impressive, Central's 8-4, or HJ's 16-1 and 14 game winning streak? (at the time of voting).  I'd say both are impressive.  but i tend to factor in the fact that 3A is grouped with 4A and 5A on this poll.  so i'm not going to subtract from HJ based on the fact that they're playing a weaker schedule than Central.  Central is 4A, and should be playing 4A and 5A schools.  HJ is 3A, but still plays their fair share of opponents in higher classifications.  HJ has one blip on the radar, and Central has  4 in half as many games.  Yes Central soundly beat HJ a couple of weeks ago... but the game before that, WB beat Central.  Should WB be #1 then?  but wait, then Nederland beat WB.  So should Nederland be #1?  Oh, but HJ beat Nederland early on in the year... I guess the point being that this many games into the season, i can't keep using HJ's 3rd game of the season (Central's 4th) as the primary factor in my rankings.  It's a judgement call.
