But they are a totally different team when Parker is 100%He does everything for them.. runs the offense, scores when needed, athletic rebounder, etc.. He is #2 on ESPN for a reason
AggiesAreWe
Let's see, Mitty is suppose to be the best team in California and Simeon is suppose to be the best team in all the nation, both lost tonight to two Texas teams.Looks as though most folks still consider Texas to be just a football state when it comes to these national basketball rankings. ;)Texas high school hoops can ball!! Part of me says no to the shot clock because some players will not play Defense depending on that shot clock too much, then part of me says bring on the shot clock for those certain teams whose Offense is "hit 20 and have a 5-10 point lead and hold the ball"............ YES I think a 45 sec shot clock would be perfect....
35 sec. it would have to be of college rule if it was to happen here.
I would take it.... IMO 45 sec would be better just because its at the high school level. This will give teams and players the opportunity to adjust to a shot clock for the select few that have the chance to play at the next level. A shot clock IMO is what high school basketball needs. I think it allows a even playing field for all teams. You would take away the "let's hold the ball the last 2 minutes of the game with a 6 point lead", but yet just long enough with a 45 sec shot clock to still some what do that... It has always been a disadvantage for the slow or less athletic teams when a team with quick athletic guards who can nurse a 6 point lead and make you guard at half court, then just blow by you and make someone else pick them up as they penetrate to the paint and just dump it off to a big for a layup.. Why or What is the reason they have a shot clock in college but not high school?
