I hope my Cubs get back on track in this tourney.  We're under .500 and already 0-1 in district.  Not in panic mode yet, but we need to play smarter baseball.  We left our starter in a bit too long last night and IMO, it cost us the game.  On a positive note, Wunderlich is going crazy at the plate, racking up doubles & triples, and Brewton looked great in relief.

Cubs should be able to win 2 of the next 3.  Lamar may be a bit too strong for them, but Santa Fe and the seventh place game should be two teams they can beat if they have some pitching left.

Thanks.  We beat CC Carroll so we are capable of beating Lamar.  It's just not likely....  Well not this year anyway.  We did last year.

The Woodlands pitcher #23 Carter Hope (Oklahoma State University committ)
threw a 4 hitter had us guessing at the plate all game.
Montgomery pitcher Mason Mize (our #3 I believe) threw well and so did Colin Garrett (Soph).  A key error by Montgomery 3rd baseman in the 6th let a baserunner on and The Woodlands capitalized on a it, scoring the lone run of the game. Well played game by both teams. The Woodlands is undefeated this year and in the tournament. This was the first loss for Montgomery this year.
