stevenash Posted December 27, 2012 Report Posted December 27, 2012 Hj 69 dayton 32- I guess this means that HJ has the ability to pick its opponents in other schools tourneys?
CThoops Posted December 27, 2012 Report Posted December 27, 2012 No, but they control which tourney to go to 8)
stevenash Posted December 27, 2012 Report Posted December 27, 2012 Would that mean that you are better qualified to select who they play and how they schedule than the coaching staff is?
CThoops Posted December 27, 2012 Report Posted December 27, 2012 No ???Man, you sure like read between the lines a lot..It's a simple statement. You can play in bigger tournaments to prepare for district, or play in smaller ones for more games and playing time.

stevenash Posted December 27, 2012 Report Posted December 27, 2012 I heard that 5 dayton seniors all quit the team at the same time. Dont know whether or not that is true but I do remember seeing them last year and thinking they had a bright future.

CATMAN Posted December 28, 2012 Report Posted December 28, 2012 HF vs LaPoynor is next. 3A AND A IA ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
stevenash Posted December 28, 2012 Report Posted December 28, 2012
HF vs LaPoynor is next. 3A AND A IA ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
It really doesnt matter about the classification Catman. When it was mentioned that several 4a and 5a schools played in the HJ tourney (won by HJ) it was suggested that none of those teams were any good ( one of which was Longview who Central beat today by 3 and HJ beat by 17). Most of the schools at the Aransas Pass tourney were also larger division schools and the answer then was the same- bigger schools but not very good. So if HJ plays a good small school, it is a bigger school taking advantage of the smaller school and if HJ beats a bigger school, it is because the bigger school they played was no good (even though Nederland and Longview have considerably larger enrollments and play in higher divisions)
