The Wisdom of 1987......FB Predictions in Review 2012....What did Mayans Know?

My WISE predictions for football in 2012.  Some call me a Football Wizard, others, well, this is a message board and let's keep it "PG."

So here they are.....

1)  At beginning of season, I stated PNG Defense and running game would be problems for PNG in 2012, umm, and it was!

2)  I correctly predicted GT's "tremendous" program and team  - this year would make it to 4A Div 1 FINALE.....(Bull8....what did I "know" right ::))

3)  I correctly predicted Denton Guyer would "win" state title game 4A Div 1 vs.  GT.....(sorry all SC fans, I know you still believe that somehow, someway you really won it)

4)  I predicted Nederland would win district title again this 2012 season way back last Spring......(vidor fans, I do apologize in advance for letting you know NOW - aka prediction 2013 - that Nederland will sit atop of 20 4A again next season)

5) I predicted MCM would be a non-contest....with easy Dog victory.....

6)  I correctly predicted Pearland Dawson would fall to the Dogs......correct, again, check!!!!  (I apologize for the player who took the loss "too" difficult after the game, and the Texans asked if you could please be removed so you won't be in the way for any more upcoming games)

7)  I correctly predicted that Vidor would finish second in the district.  (I knew that was our biggest battle in district and Vidor gave us all you had, again, great season Pirates.)

8)  I correctly predicted PNG would NOT make the playoffs.  (Hope you turn things around in 2013)

9)  I correctly predicted that Dayton scrimmage loss would not hurt NEDERLAND. And that by having that "loss" vs Dayton, would propel NED to victory over Dayton in JUST the FIRST ROUND Playoff game (but yes, I do know that we lost in SCRIMMAGE and that's all that really counts. :-\  -------------------------  Nederland Fans  "WE WILL NEVER FORGET THAT HOT RAINY DAY IN AUGUST AND HOW DAYTON WHIPPED OUR KEISERS"  )  ******Nederland received no payment from BH representatives for helping BH, use copyrighted slogan of "One and Done" on their archrival**************************************** ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

And Finally,  this is it......the big reveal......





10)  I predicted Smokinbaby as the funniest poster again this season........well, for now, 2013 predictions are just around the corner... ;)

Lets discuss a few things on your predictions. You said Nederland would win district. With most of the team back from last season who had already won district that is a gimme. PNG new they were going into a down year andmost predicted they would not do well. Once again a gimme. Predicting that GT would loose once again a 50 50 shot. I know you said your uncle was nostradamus but you are not quite up to his standards. But Ill be waiting for you to post your quatrains for next season. You need to go back to work for awhile.

Made prediction of 4 A Div 1 finale a few rounds back, and that my friend would be less than 50/50 guess.....

And as far as my predictions other than that last season, thanks for all of the gimme's NOW.....I am sure hind sight is 20/20 and that's not percentages ;D ;D ;D ;D

No one mentioned Nostradumas....

Also, I do recall a few NDNs posters when I stated problems with 2012 PNG team at BEGINNING of season, told me the same thing you are saying that I didn't know anything...


Lighten up prep.....isn't BAMA PNG's heavy hand.....(I feel a new prediction for 2013 already)

I think every team has a few fans that think their team is way better than they are each year...I for one was pretty realistic with this PNG team from the get go, they were 1-9 as Freshman so!!! I think I said PNG may vie for the 4th spot, but only because teams 3-8 were much weaker than in years past (I don't think anyone would argue that I got that right).

You predicted it well.  Do think that PNG's future looks brighter than I had previously thought.  I watched a PNG Freshman game and was impressed with Morse kid and really a few others, seems like that group has it together.  If issues are addressed, things could get really better for PNG sooner than later.

As I always say, a better PNG makes us all better.
