SilsbeeD Posted January 12, 2006 Author Report Posted January 12, 2006 well maybe we can sneak up this year
JasperBaseball10 Posted January 15, 2006 Report Posted January 15, 2006 Will Kirbyville be better with a new head coach?
KFDM COOP Posted January 15, 2006 Report Posted January 15, 2006 I think Kirbyville will be better with the new Coach. I hear he's a good coach.
Ty Cobb Posted January 15, 2006 Report Posted January 15, 2006 Jasper wins with these teams fighting for the final two spots. Silsbee Kirbyville Shepard
SilsbeeD Posted January 15, 2006 Author Report Posted January 15, 2006 silsbee lost some talent but over all i think they will be pretty good
smartguy Posted January 22, 2006 Report Posted January 22, 2006 shepherd has a lot of talent coming back...look for them to try and sneak in there
MIF04 Posted January 24, 2006 Report Posted January 24, 2006 Trying to get some more detailed info on Jasper and Silsbee: What do these teams have pitching-wise? Who are their top 3 or 4 hitters.? Thanks.
jdawg03 Posted January 24, 2006 Report Posted January 24, 2006 Jasper returns virtually their whole team from last year......returns all their pitching... Pitchers would be Will Alvis Senior RHP Mid to upper 80s fast ball, hits 90 everyonce in a while, Justin Parsons Sophomore LHP, Middle 80s fastball...sneaky type of a pitcher with nasty junk....very good now but will be pro prospect by the time he is a senior Brandon Kines- Senior RHP, Middle 80s fastball...solid all around pitcher... there's more, i just cant name them off the top of my head Alvis would definitely be the best hitter..plays 3rd when he's not pitching and is a legit d-1 prospect...grandson of former all star Cleveland Indian 3rd Baseman Max Alvis i know the rest of the hitters, just dont know who is the best out of them...maybe someone can add to what i have
MIF04 Posted January 24, 2006 Report Posted January 24, 2006 Don't they have a front line pitcher named Reagan, too? A right hander? I do seem to remember that (for some reason)????
jdawg03 Posted January 24, 2006 Report Posted January 24, 2006 yea...travis reagan...i wanst aware that he was a pitcher, but I know he's a great player and may even be a good pitcher...as far as im aware, those 3 pitchers are the top 3...I could be wrong...i'll see if i can find out
JasperBaseball10 Posted January 25, 2006 Report Posted January 25, 2006 Travis Reagan is a pitcher. he also plays i think a little short and 3rd. he is a good pitcher with a mid 80 mph fastball and throws some junk. Will alvis is still the best overall pitcher this year at Jasper.
Ty Cobb Posted January 25, 2006 Report Posted January 25, 2006 Trying to get some more detailed info on Jasper and Silsbee: What do these teams have pitching-wise? Who are their top 3 or 4 hitters.? Thanks. Silsbee will be young this year. 5 seniors and 3 juniors. The soph. and freshman classes will have about 15 each. Joel Schooling and Kevin McDonald could be the 1-2 punch. Top hitters: Rocky Calhoun (CF) .359 avg.; Rodney Daigle (OF/IF) .310 avg.;
Guest Orangeboy Posted February 2, 2006 Report Posted February 2, 2006 I agree with Cobb on this one. Jasper has the edge and they are still young, but most of their team is back and now have a year of experience. Silsbee will have to rely on two very young and inexperienced arms to get the job done. Shepherd has everyone coming back and is very scrappy. Kirbyville will also be in the mix and lets not forget about Buna, they could also beat everyone except for maybe Jasper.
