I believe the surprise is Nederland's savior may be joining the varsity come Monday. At least that is the word on the street. Coach had an emergency meeting in an attempt to save the season. I hope it works.

On another note, BD3 please thank your coaches for running the KATO offense the 2nd half last night. That KEEP AWAY - TURN OVER O sure helped us get back in the game. Your team had your foot on our throat, at halftime, and saved us from getting beat badly by employing the KATO. I'm not sure why you would want to slow down the pace for a slower less athletic team and allow the to climb back in it, but hey I'm not your coach. Maybe he had a bet and was trying to keep the spread down -- who knows  ;D  I too enjoyed watching your sons play last night. It was the first time I have seen them since last year. They are getting better every time I see them.

[/quote]Emergency meeting? ??? Save the season? ??? There was no meeting today! One loss to a very good Ozen team does not call for reason to panic. ::)

What we missed last night in the 1st half was rebounding.  Would have been nice to have another 6'4" big body or two last night to help on the boards. Thought we were going to have a couple join the team in early December, but that didnt happen. Ozen didn't miss many, but when they did, they had a lot of 2nd chances.

We haven't missed those Bigs until this game, but we could have used them last night.

I'm sure the Ozen coach knows his team shot lights out in the 1st half, and a repeat of that type of shooting was not likely in the 2nd half. He utilized his team speed as he should have. Ned just battled back and got back in the game with good defense and great shooting. We had a chance to tie or take the lead with 1:03 remaining and we had the ball. We turned it over, and we were forced to foul. So that is reason for an emergency meeting? ::)

On another note, BD3 please thank your coaches for running the KATO offense the 2nd half last night. That KEEP AWAY - TURN OVER O sure helped us get back in the game. Your team had your foot on our throat, at halftime, and saved us from getting beat badly by employing the KATO. I'm not sure why you would want to slow down the pace for a slower less athletic team and allow the to climb back in it, but hey I'm not your coach. Maybe he had a bet and was trying to keep the spread down -- who knows  ;D  I too enjoyed watching your sons play last night. It was the first time I have seen them since last year. They are getting better every time I see them.

[/quote]Thank You!! Had Ned lost to PNG Tuesday AND Ozen last night, I would agree that  An emergency meeting may be needed, but a loss to Ozen is not a concern.
We've lost 3 District games in the past 3 seasons, and two losses were against Ozen.
