CATMAN Posted January 17, 2013 Report Posted January 17, 2013 Both Teams Are 2-0Broaddus by----------------------6
BucketSitR Posted January 17, 2013 Report Posted January 17, 2013 Should be a barn burner... Broaddus has the advantage being at home. Should be a great game. Get there early... Place will be standing room only as usual...
CATMAN Posted January 17, 2013 Author Report Posted January 17, 2013 Bucketsitr who will win that dist.I no Broaddus WS SA will be in the playoff. ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)
Uncle Si Posted January 17, 2013 Report Posted January 17, 2013 This is gonna be a tough one, Jack, but WS can make it happen....... Hey, everybody knows a Tiger can eat a bulldog and a wolf for a light snack..
pinelandflash Posted January 18, 2013 Report Posted January 18, 2013 It will all come down to who hits their outside shots and who plays smart & stays out of foul trouble.Going to be a fantastic game between two perennial district powers. I say WS in a close one
tigerheart Posted January 19, 2013 Report Posted January 19, 2013 Nice win for West Sabine. Gonna see just how good they are Tuesday when San Augustine rolls into town. I think San Augustine's depth will be the difference...they can run 10 guys at ya and stay after you for the entire game.
pinelandflash Posted January 20, 2013 Report Posted January 20, 2013 Depth will be a concern for WS, but they are so well conditioned all they need to do is stay out of foul trouble. IMO WS has the best starting 5 in the district, while SA has the deepest roster. Should be a fun game between (again) 2 VERY talented squads. I say WS in a close one again.........
tigerheart Posted January 20, 2013 Report Posted January 20, 2013 In San Augustine's 3 losses at full strength, they have given up 72, 78 and 81 pts. That seems to be your best bet to beat San Augustine is to outgun them. That doesn't bode we'll for teams with a lack of depth. Because when your guys start getting a step slower, SA is running in fresh legs. I heard from someone at the game that Broaddus did a good job against West Sabine on the boards, and that is something else that could hurt the Tigers. San Augustine rebounds the ball very well, especially on the offensive end. And for a team that thrives in their pressure defense, giving them extra opportunities to score and set it up doesn't bode we'll either. San Augustine has seen and beat just about every look so far this season. Teams had tried to run with them and failed. Teams have tried to slow them down and failed. I don't mean this as a negative against any team, but in all reality San Augustine's play, and not anyone else's is going to determine the outcome of the game.

Don't remember his #, but one kid from Big Sandy scored like 30 points, mainly from the 3 pt line. I was impressed with him. They scored the most points SA has given up all year. I thought San Augustine had a chance to win, but Big Sandy hit the big shots and SA didn't. Plain and simple. Scoring 78 would've been enough for SA any other game but it wasn't that night. That's outgunning to me.

pinelandflash Posted January 22, 2013 Report Posted January 22, 2013 Whoever hits their outside shots consistently will take this one. Broaddus did have a slight advantage early on the boards but it evened out as the game progressed. If the Tigers start raining threes, both teams could end up with 80+ points. A potential barnburner in the works in P-land Tuesday night...........
