I'm not sure about all that lol we are talking about THE Houston Yates. National basketball powerhouse the past few years. Kountze will compete. And it will be a very good game for them to play in before the playoffs. But I don't see any less than a ten point win by Yates.

No way the score will be that low (107 Yates 93 Kountze). I've watched Kountze a few times this year and it's hard to see them winning against a team of this level. Not saying don't go out there and play hard but you don't have to put a lot of weight on this game either. Just a warm up game. Worry about finishing district play strong and use this game as a tool for a VERY tough Region 3 playoffs. Without a doubt will be a fun game to watch!

So much for those 'sources' who said they had no idea what Kountze was talking about.  ::) ::)

Now Coach Joubert is stating no confirmation on this game.

Is he having second thoughts?

Gym's capacity is only 1000. Not a good location but I know it will packed! It will definitely simulate a packed, playoff atmosphere!

Saw HBU expanded it to 1500. Actual chairbacks behind a goal. Should be a good place for playoff style games. The gym will definitely be rockin for this game. Probably best two teams the gym has hosted in a while and at least it ain't in Yates back yard like earlier reports.

Nope! Other options...  ;)

The reports of this game first came from the Kountze camp. I'm thinking he's weighing the other option he has.  ;)

Yates by 15+

Too much height. They as well are one of the few teams that can match Kountze's unrelenting pressure.

Not saying that at all.  I have said all along that if some of our local teams play well against them, they are beatable.  But you are talking about a team a year removed from being ranked #1 in 4a losing in the state finals.  This year their only losses, to my knowledge I haven't seen some of those scores,  are to high level 5a schools,  national powers and a new school with lots of recruits.  So if they beat a lower class school by a large margin what did they prove.  And if its a tight game or loss then all they do is make themselves appear vulnerable.

Kountze/Yates game is a go, per Joubert.

    • I don’t benefit from it, that’s not my area.  But the average cost to imprison someone is around $15k per year (on average in the US) and capital cases cost somewhere between $1.5-$3M with over half being overturned or reduced to life in prison anyway.  These numbers may be inflated since the last report I read but I’m sure it would be on both sides and higher on the DP side if anything. So what’s the point?  We feel better because we got to return the favor on someone (hopefully) who committed a heinous crime?  And I don’t know I can say we have “complicated” it. Which appeal should we cut out?  Our justice system has a pecking order and we have higher courts for a reason. When we are about to impose the ultimate judgment, should we cut steps that other cases have to save a buck?  Or do we not pay for an indigent person’s experts at the trial court level because it’s too expensive? Or do we just lock them up and throw away the key (unless we later find out they weren’t actually guilty, in which case we have a key and a life we haven’t unjustly ended) and save a ton of money?  Seems to me to be an easy and obvious solution but I’m more of a pragmatist.
    • 1 thing for certain. Coach Earned 3 more years to figure it out lol
    • @CIS_org National Security Senior Fellow @BensmanTodd tells Steve Bannon how the U.S. State Department and USAID have been sending American taxpayer funds to religious nonprofits to facilitate mass immigration to our southern border. Bensman says 248 nonprofits are participating in the United Nations’ 2024 agenda to distribute $1.6 billion in cash, transportation, food, and shelter to U.S.-bound immigrants across Mexico and Latin America.
