Exactly why I dont come on here tooting our horn like some other wannabe football power houses. We just show up every year in the football playoffs and occasionally win a few of them. If it really didnt matter so much why all the talk about HJ "making the playoffs"? We know for sure it wont be as district champs!

2,3,4, and 5 will be competitive. But the top spot and bottom two I'm afraid are solid bets.

Newton- Dominant as always. Possibly better than last year.

Kirbyville- Will be much improved from last years team.

Woodville- Alot of incoming and developing talent and healthy starters.

EC- I feel, will fall off quite a bit.

Anahuac- Lost a lot of talent, but will rebuild.

Kountze- Very athletic, but not enough football IQ among players YET.

Warren- Losing a lot of talent, but retaining some. Mediocre season.

Hardin- I don't see much support or will to change coming from this program. That combination never equals wins.

a year for those young guys to get better: Kville will make the playoffs, placed right behind Newton in which the Eagles will win the district. 3rd place will be up for grabs IMO.

I agree completely. I expect the Kats to get it together next year. Still no match for Newton. I expect Newton to be an early favorite to win state.
