Guest kountzemania Posted February 6, 2013 Report Posted February 6, 2013 Weather permitting LOL! Looks to be cleared out in time to dry up a bit. Scrimmage is Friday evening in Silsbee
aTmfan06 Posted February 6, 2013 Report Posted February 6, 2013 Silsbee is pretty solid.. good scrimmage choice for Kountze...
OLDGREGG Posted February 6, 2013 Report Posted February 6, 2013 Should be a good scrimmage. Looking forward to it. See y'all there!
CATS80 Posted February 6, 2013 Report Posted February 6, 2013 Im sure it will go as its intended. Like a scrimmage. Its a live practice. And gives the coach a look at what they need to work on. "Thats how this will go"

I assume that a lot of non starters will get their shot to prove themselves.

Guest kountzemania Posted February 6, 2013 Report Posted February 6, 2013 Maybe we can settle the Basketball drama on the Baseball field? LOL. We were supposed to play last year but it rained out. I hope we get it in this year because it will give Kountze a much better gauge and i hope it does the same for Silsbee. I know several of the kids that play for Silsbee and they are a good group of kids. I hope to see them play well. I think Kountze will hold their own in end.

Guest kountzemania Posted February 8, 2013 Report Posted February 8, 2013 It's official, scrimmage to be in Silsbee tomorrow. JV will start about 4:30 and roll to Varsity
CATS80 Posted February 9, 2013 Report Posted February 9, 2013 Good scrimmage Coach Kirby it looks like you are doing a great job with your team as you have always done keep it up and nice seeing you . you are still always thought about here .
AggiesAreWe Posted February 9, 2013 Report Posted February 9, 2013 Heard the Tigers handled the Lions with ease. ;)
CATS80 Posted February 9, 2013 Report Posted February 9, 2013 The Tigers Played a good scrimmage They were a bit flat at times on defence. They made a few Errors where normally they are spot on . Coach Nelson will get that on que with no problem. Kountze did play very well They have Two good pitchers and should do very well in their district.

OLDGREGG Posted February 9, 2013 Report Posted February 9, 2013 If kountze can find a catcher they'll be just fine. Silsbee scored most of their runs because our catchers can't block or catch a dadburn thing
Guest kountzemania Posted February 9, 2013 Report Posted February 9, 2013 I would have to agree. Catcher is an issue Kirby and company will have solve. Bottom line last night the first two pitchers, " Soph. Guys Franklin and Marshall", lost confidence in catcher to catch the low ball or a breaking pitch. That being said our catchers are having to make adjustments and learn to catch high velocity pitching that has movement.
Guest basketball2012 Posted February 9, 2013 Report Posted February 9, 2013 Lol 82-84 isn't high velocity.
OLDGREGG Posted February 9, 2013 Report Posted February 9, 2013 Lol did you have a gun on em? I didn't see one last night. Why don't you go on over to the basketball forum where you belong.
rtl12 Posted February 9, 2013 Report Posted February 9, 2013 You don't have to have a gun to tell about how hard someone is throwing. Not if you've been around the game a while at least. That being said I wasn't there so I have no idea how hard anyone was throwing
Guest kountzemania Posted February 10, 2013 Report Posted February 10, 2013 I know for a fact that both those kids for Kountze throw at least 85 because it has been documented by an independent source. Perfect Game is a very reputable organization. Go look it up! That was summertime markings and 6 months later I think they increased.

Ballplayer14 Posted February 10, 2013 Report Posted February 10, 2013 I know both Franklin and Marshall can run it up faster than 82-84.... Im not saying they were because i didnt see it but i have seen them before and Franklin has been 86-88 on multiple occasions and Marshall has been an 84-85 type guy more than once from the times i have watched these guys.
whsalum Posted February 11, 2013 Report Posted February 11, 2013 Basketball 2012 has a pretty good baseball pedigree. I know the Franklin boy will be taught to pitch pretty well because his dad has been around the game forever. That being said if you're gonna throw mid 80"s you better have movement AND location or you'll be in for a long day.
Numberoneonly Posted February 11, 2013 Report Posted February 11, 2013 From what I seen it don't matter who pitches, silsbee has some bats...they should go far this season.
