If Silsbee beats WOS, will HJ and WOS have to have a coin flip or playoff game at Central for 2nd place?
If Silsbee beats WO-S and Hardin-Jefferson beats Hamshire-Fannett, then the two will play a game for the 2nd seed. There will be no coin flip. Too much riding on outcome.

The venue for this seed game has not been set and I highly doubt the game would be played at Central.

Ford Park or Nederland would work!
I highly doubt WO-S would agree to play HJ at Ford Park. HJ has played three games there this season, one just a week from the seed game. WO-S has never played there.

Could see game played at East Chambers or Ozen.

Sorry Harmon and Stevens are the only starters that HJ will not have back.
I think you have to include Johnson, even though he is not on the team currently.
Bottom line is HJ returns 3 starters from last nights game and if Johnson had played, it would still be 3 starters returning

Silsbee graduates 80% of their current varsity team, your JV is pretty good but not great.  You beat HJ by 5-6 tonight and one of their starters was moved up to varsity, two others failed and two others were at the regional swimming meet.  And HJ 9th spank your 9th grade team.  HJ only loses Harmon off of the current team that plays significant minutes.

HJ will be fine, and will compete with Silsbee just fine.  I predict an HJ win next year....in fact guarantee it!!!!

The only one who may need smelly salt is one who thinks he can make 10 year predictions for high school basketball.

Correct. But we both know there is quite a difference in Johnson and Stevens.

Whats that for Silsbee? 4 out of the last 5? Looks like the tide has turned in that district... 8)

Not sure I understand your question.

4 of the last 5 games....right? 10 of the last 13? Just asking what the count is....
Silsbee has now defeated HJ 6 of last 7 and 10 of last 13 (77% win percentage). Tigers have now claimed an out right or co-district championship for 6 straight seasons. (co-champs '08, '09, '12, out right '10, '11, '13)

Doesnt matter- neither Johnson or Stevens is returning and Stevens was a starter only in Johnsons absence-  I was referring to the fact that HJ returns three starters from this years team.  Mitchell, Mayes, and Zjori Bosha.

Silsbee's JV leading scorer was out with a concussion and could easily been a blowout with him !!! "Hardaway"

Based on 10 of 13, I would say the tide turned some time ago.

Wouldn't put a whole lot of stock in those 9th grade scores.

For you to type "the tide has turned" would indicate the "tide" would have to be going one way then stop and go the other way. With the numbers Silsbee has 9 wins out of 12 games in the past five years and 12 wins out of 19 games since 2007 the "tide" has only been going in one direction. And everyone of the games played have been good and entertaining. There is no other game played in SETX that can bring enough fans to be played at a venue like Ford Park. In this game it's not how you win, it's what you have to go through to win.  Hardin County Havoc......

DV is correct. The tide actually has turned.

Since both teams have been in same district ('07), HJ won 4 of the first 6 games played between the two. Since then, Silsbee has won 10 of 13.

I would say that is turning it around. ;)

Yes, the first two years in the same district (07 & 08) HJ won 4 out of 7 games. Since then, Silsbee has won 9 out of 12 games played.  I'll give HJ a ripple in the early going.
