Lumberton does not have 14 points

Not quite sure how the point system works. The stats on Lumberton are correct. 3 wins in regulation or overtime (against Splendora, Hardin Jefferson and Jasper), 2 wins in shootout=2 ties (Livingston and Liberty), 3 losses (1 in shootout (Silsbee) and 2 in regulation or overtime (Liberty and Livingston).  The stats on some of the other teams are not correct--Jasper and HJ should have at least 1 loss and Splendora should have at least 2 losses. It would be nice to know where all of the teams in 37 4A stand at this point.

Scores are all sent to me by the coaches from each district. I update this every evening after games. To my knowledge these are accurate.

Can someone please explain the point system?  Thought it was 3 points for a win, 1 for a tie, 0 for a loss....but the points don't add up that way according to the initial post.  Thanks.

If a tie game goes to a shootout, then the winning team only gets 2 points and the losing team gets one point. What the stats need is an OT loss and OT win column so the points will add up.

Need clarification for point determination. I thought one point for tie, but HJ doesn't even reflect the tie. They did lose in OT. Is that not considered for points? I thought 3 for win- 0 for loss - and one for tie.

Based on their record lumberton should have 15 points. 12 points from the four games they have won, and 3 points from penalties.( win over Livingston and loss over silsbee)

So do we know who is playing who in the first round of the playoffs?

According to the Boys' UIL Brackets as I read them, the following will be the playoff pairings for the Boys;

Winner of District 38 (Nederland) will play Fourth place of District 37 (currently Liberty)
Runner-up of 38 (PN-G) will play Third place of 37 (currently Lumberton)
Third Place 38 (Vidor) will play Runner-up of 37 (Depends on Friday's games)
Fourth place 38 (Central) will play Winner of 37 (Depends on Friday's games)

Livingston and Splendora are currently tied with 23 points.
Lumberton has 20
Liberty has 16
Silsbee has 15

Depends what the outcome of the livingston and liberty game is.then we know 37-4a champs

If Splendora and Livingston win, their final district records and points would be;

Splendora 8-2-2 with 26 points
Livingston 7-2-3 with 26 points

    By points they would be co-champs. I'm not sure, however, about head to head breakdown. That may determine 1st place, or the number of wins may determine it. I'm not sure which way 37 4A is handling point ties this year.

    If all home teams win Friday night (Silsbee, Liberty and Lumberton) there would be a three way tie for first, at least by way of points. (Splendora, Livingston, and Lumberton would have 23) I don't even want to get into the ties/shootout scenarios other than to say things could get really interesting.
