Guest Air Bisquit
Kountze has the misfortune of playing in one of the toughest 2A districts in the state.Newton, Kville, East Chambers, Anahuac, and Woodville are going to be a tough hill to climb for the Lions
Mr. Buddy Garrity
no. talent is there but will it translate into a playoff year with Newton returning a state title contender, EC reloads, and Kirbyville should get a spot with Anahuac in the hunt there is no way kountze makes the playoffs. Scatright
I don't know. There is some promise at kountze, athlete wise. They have too much turmoil for me to believe in them right now. When the adults get their stuff together, the kids might have the opportunity to shine. Same problem theyre having at HJ right now.
Guest kountzemania
You know it's funny how folks love to out of the blue drag Kountze up and then proceed to backhand our athletic program in the ditch. Well my words to you is have fun with it because times are changing and in the near future it won't just be Kountze spanking our foes in one sport it will be consistent in multiple. Lets just blow this bomb up before anyone can. Here we go boys: Yes in the past this small town has suffered at the hands a lot people who put adult issues in front of the success of kids. I think as with anything when change begins things get rough. Like the old saying says, things always get worse before they get better. Well the last two years change has been faught and dragged into action. Our kids are working harder than ever and our Atletic Director Tracy Franklin is changing our program by actually ignoring the political preasures to run a program based on the demands of adults. In the past it was more important to make certain groups of people happy instead of doing what was right for kids. Coach Franklin does not care about the adults and is why he has gained the respect and trust of most all of the kids in our athletic program. Sure there are those kids who's parents live vicariously through their kids and the kids attitude is tainted by an under achieved parent who does not see enough self worth and desperately needed to find it through their kid. Kountze athlete have gotten a taste of some success outside of Basketball, like district champs in track, power lifting, 500 record in Football, had a good season in Softball. Now we are baseball season and Kountze will be a team that will challenge for district. So the question of will or won't Kountze make Football playoffs? Here is my answer maybe they will or maybe they won't but Kountze will get better and if they make it it will be due to the hard work of a bunch of kids and a coaching staff that had put kids first and not because of the opinion of arm chair quarterbacks that would love to see turmoil rather than the success of kids. Oh and by the way High School is more real and there are winners and losers in sports and everybody does not get a trophy so if little Johnny or Susie ain't good enough don't lie to them or try to effect the landscape just be honest and be proud of who they are and what they do well, what ever that would be. If your not part of Kountze, please don't pour gas on the fire because it just hurts our kids and if you are from Kountze and you don't have anything constructive or positive to say than spare our kids and keep it to yourself. Thanks, Godbless!
undiscovered
Yes, of course. Kountze is a very young team with a strong freshman group coming up.
