I debated making an insulting and pointed post about the terrible depths to which the Indian football program must have gone to this year to have you posting scores and highlights from a freshman game from last season, but then decided that you already went there and that I didn't need to.  Most programs that are doing well now don't generally tout sub-varsity programs as their source of pride (see PNG 2013 and Vidor circa 2002).

When I made that post, it was in response to the future 2014 season in which I'm sure some of those Freshman will be contributing to.

Any Program SHOULD be proud of their sub-varsity teams...especially if they are as talented as our Freshman group.

PS. There is no "must have" to it......its public knowledge and forum fodder, the "terrible depths" to which we have gone.

PNG is our rival, all the other games are just hard fought district games. Vidor will always want to be our rival but it will never happen. You have to be from Nederland or PNG to understand this rivalry. PNG will always be our rival.

no doubt that png is our rival, however, indian faithful, the rivalry would be a bit more fun if you guys played along...this year's game really was about as uninteresting as any I have been to and IMO it was mostly because you guys had resigned yourself to being hammered...it seemed to me that png played "not to lose" rather than trying to win and it made for a very uninteresting game.

vidor, please stop with the rivalry junk...you aren't Nederland's rival today, you weren't yesterday and won't be tomorrow...you guys just had 2 of your best teams ever and still fell short both times...go strike up something with LCM or somebody who doesn't have a real rival...heck that should work since I hear that LCM wants to be png's rival (and can't)...it can be the "We really want a rival" bowl.

...or mytwocents chimes in...why would Nederland be scared to be vidors rival...the overall record is EXTREMELY lopsided in Nederland's favor...and Nederland does not "start" talk of a rivalry with vidor...vidor spews hatred and animosity towards Nederland and Nederland just keeps beating vidor.

Our fearless leader is just smart by scheduling teams that we might see in the playoffs. We will not see PAM in the playoffs, just a game taking up a spot that could be very useful.

My reference was to the Central 56, Png 50 (varsity) game.
Guess you were out celebrating the freshman victory and missed it. ;)

Also, don't worry between our running and passing attack (varsity), we dont really see you getting the ball very much.  And our D will be just fine.
