Chester86 Posted February 14, 2013 Report Posted February 14, 2013 The Good Samaritan Fellowship (GSF) Hornet basketball teams have made both the varsity girls and boys playoffs. We are a small group of home-schooled students who participate in various varsity sporting programs. We play in ACEL, which is a private / home-school league based in Louisiana. The varsity boys will be hosting their very first playoff game this Saturday night at the Silsbee HS gym. The game will start at 7. They will be playing our rivals, Southwest Home School from neighboring Lake Charles, La. We would appreciate any support we could get, and look forward to the opportunity of hosting a playoff game. For more information, see our web-site at: http://www.gsfhornets.org/. Thanks to the Silsbee ISD for their support and the use of their beautiful facility.
Chester86 Posted February 16, 2013 Author Report Posted February 16, 2013 First playoff game tonight at 7 at Silsbee HS's gym. Hosting the South-West Patriots from Lake Charles, Louisiana for the Hornets first ACEL sanctioned playoff game to be played in Texas. Hoping for a big crowd, and an electric atmosphere. Best of luck Hornets!
Chester86 Posted February 17, 2013 Author Report Posted February 17, 2013 The Hornets won an exciting game tonight 54 - 44. They will play their next round on Tuesday night, unsure who or where. Our girls team plays Tuesday night as well in their first playoff game against Faith Training in Leesville, Louisiana.
Chester86 Posted February 17, 2013 Author Report Posted February 17, 2013 Right as I was hitting send, my cell phone buzzed with a text message. The boys are now playing Monday night in Slidell, Louisiana. If they can win that game they will advance to the semi-finals next weekend in Leesville, Louisiana.
