Silsbee and HJ gets hard road to Regionals

HJ and Silsbee got screwed in the playoff pairings this year. Both Silsbee and HJ will have to face Houston Yates to even get to regionals. HJ might play them in the second round and Silsbee might face them in the third. WOS would not face them until the regional finals if they make it that far. The brackets don't change but district numbers change with alignments.

I warned HJ and Silsbee before the season to fight for 2nd place in the district. HJ couldn't help it. Cross country wore them out. Silsbee just had too much pride to lose a game or two in district and finish 2nd!!!

Therefore (Aggie), I will say again, [size=12pt]tis better to finish 2nd and make a deep run in playoffs, than to finish 1st and lose in 2nd round[/size]

Yes the odds are against us.  My Tigers will have to play their best team game and make the most of their scoring opportunities.  Speed and depth appear to be fairly equal.  The big problem for the Tigers is size.  We have to find a way to get our passes and shots over the top of them and prevent them from merely going over the top of us.  We also have to keep up on the boards.  If we can somehow do that and have a good shooting night we have a chance.

I can tell you I was at both district games WOS lost and they defintely didn't intentionally lose either one!!  They may get to avoid your babies longer  but they will either lose or have to play them or whoever beats them to get to Austin.
