HJ will upset Yates!
[/quote]

for Silsbee sake you better hope so. But I doubt it

Speaking of a possible Silsbee/Yates game,  tonight I heard a rumor that if that happens there will be a flip for the site Lamar or Houston.  I don't know if thats the case but it was a rumor from someone with ties to the Tigers.

Agree its a great facility but according to this person(and not sure to believe or not) they feel the crowd will be too big for even Baytown Lee College...

Do Silsbee and Yates just get to advance by default, or will the games in the next round be played first?  If the kids are looking ahead like y'all are, it could be trouble.  Just win one at a time; that's what the playoffs are all about

EC held the fan bases for 4 teams all at one time Tuesday night. Humble, Summer Creek, Ozen, and Nederland were there with room to spare. Yes I know Yates is a high profile team, but I can't believe alone it would exceed the capacity for EC's gym. They are playing next in Atascocita, is that any larger than EC?

Was told EC holds right at 1400.

Atascocita holds 1500.

I don't know if it would be too small or not.  I know Yates usually brings a large crowd but they have always played in Houston until Austin.  Not sure how they travel out of town on a weekday.

I was thinking of that factor, too. Weekday game, and some travel involved. If played at Lamar or Houston, one of the fan bases will have a long drive, so less will inevitably attend. EC, with a great gym and equal distance is the best option, IMO.

I like EC gym and would like for the game to be there, but I would not say it is the "best" option.

Lee College holds more than EC gym.
