Okay well im just saying, HJ has a chance to win this game!!

there are some who simply cannot accept the FACT that a relatively small school, year in and year out, fields a competitive basketball team.  They have come up with many different ways to "talk the program down" and if HJ loses tonight, they will begin the "this is the beginning of the end" talk.  Fortunately, talk is only that- talk.  Games are still won and lost on the floor and HJ is likely to continue to have competitive teams.  Deal with it.

Unless they reconstruct the bracket, the first and third place teams from y'all's district won't see regionals.. Very much unfair, but it is what it is.. Fight for second if you want play in the playoffs longer

Doesnt really matter- To get to Austin, you very likely have to go through Yates whether its the first, second, third, etc round of the playoffs

Dove, enough of the cross country talk.  You have already confused 2013 with mixing in CC and BBall.  Hawks are fine tuned athletes.  CC talk will just create another thread about off season weight training and if it is good for BBall or not.  With that being said, get the track shoes out.

sure, why not?  i would take a trip to regionals over a district championship.  Especially with the number of district championships we have at HJ, a regional qualifier is always a nice banner to hang.

Sorry Dove- Yates may win by substantial margin, but it will have NOTHING to do with conditioning.  Nothing I would love better than instead of playing the game, we simply sent all of the players from both teams out on a run and see who runs the longest.  Heres a hint for you- It wont be Yates players.

[/quote]Tis better to  taste the sweets of regional play within the mist of the Colorado River than to fly a district banner and lose in area play. For example, nobody identifies Nederland as a regional qualifier last year, only as co- winner from the district.

No suntan parlor for me.  Am talking to a father in Australia who is contemplating moving to Sour Lake.  Needless to say, I was explaining to him some of the advantages of doing so.
