I'm thinking they need to kick it up a notch in the next round...can't afford any more 1 point quarters....
Guest ECBucFan Posted February 23, 2013 Report Posted February 23, 2013 Give Poth a lot of credit. they were a very, very sound, well coached team. Their execution was excellent and they shot and rebounded well. Their defense prevented EC from getting clean looks at the basket all night. EC was behind by 5 to 7 points much of the second half. Ironically, Poth backed off their aggressive D and settled back to defend the paint after EC tied the game at 52 and then got the ball back with 35 secs left. Jared Guillory calmly dribbled 25 secs off the clock before driving the lane and dishing to Glenn Roberts who banked home the winner from the left side with 3 sec. left. A desperation 3/4 court length shot by Poth at the buzzer was not close. This was a game you hated to see anyone lose. Poth is a classy bunch with good fans. Congrats to Coach Hancock on his 1st EC playoff win and to the EC Runnin' Bucs! 8)
ECFAN#1 Posted February 23, 2013 Report Posted February 23, 2013 Poth very dicipline and well coach. Great group of kids that never gave up and played hard the whole game. I wish EC would have had a different schedule which would have helped during playoffs. Great win BUCS keep up the hard work.
