Silsbee vs. Yates Predictions

It's really unfortunate that Houston decided to allow Yates into 3A for these two years, honestly, because its really not fair. These 3A schools are having to literally compete with a team that could likely win the region in 4A this year...Silsbee is talented and tough, but they have ZERO chance against Yates.  Thats just the truth.  They may even play with them for a half or so, but Yates wears much bigger teams down, and they have size that rivals some small colleges...They are not gpoing to be scared of them, but reality will set at some point in that game and it will be over...Likely 20+...Deep down, the Silsbee faithful knows what it is... ;)

DV got those conference from coaching at Alex Keith Park! Silsbee has a chance man. Yates absolutely has a unfair advantage. We will deal with it and play hard. If Silsbee can get hot on those free throws and rebound we got a shot! If Silsbee beats Yates it could be the greatest win in school history!

First off, we want to say that this is a pretty good site and we are doubly excited to be apart of it.  We're looking forward to playing Silsbee on Tuesday.  It's going to be very funny and sad in here around 7:30pm on Tuesday night.  All we are asking is that you guys come back in here and show your hands....all hands, from the freshmen to the seniors here.  We understand that you guys are pulling for your hometown and area teams.  Allow me to say how funny it is when you go back and read the comments that were posted prior to the HJ game.  You were so certain that this was it.  HJ would be the team that would no doubt bring down the LIONS.  As you are aware, it didn't work out that way.  It was even funnier to see the posts AFTER the game saying stuff like, " Proud of HJ.", "We hung with JY.", "I thought it would be worse than that.", HJ stuck with them for 3 quarters."  That's the problem, you have to come to play for 4 quarters!!  Some of you really should refrain from posting so many times because it shows how little you really know about this sport or any sport for that matter. Not sure if you're being optimistic or unrealistic.  But let's be real, if you really have knowledge of a sport, you would know just like we do, the ball can bounce any way on any given day.  Therefore, we take nothing for granted.  Some of you say we were afraid of Silsbee!  Come on, let's not be foolish, according to some of you guys YATES may be a lot of things, however, AFRAID, is not one of them!!  Make no mistake about it, our boys will lace up just like your boys will and they will bring their A game as well.  Do we want Silsbee to be afraid of us, of course not.  Will Silsbee lay down and be walked over, of course not, well,  not by choice anyway.  But I can tell you this, and mark it for the record, we are aware of what's at stake here and the importance of it.  We've done our homework, will make the necessary adjustments and expect to wage a good fight against the tigers.  We take nothing for granted and we know Silsbee is a good team and we expect to play like one.  But let's be honest here, it looks like you guys are running out of formidable teams that you said would hand us the that LOSS.  First it was HJ, then someone said the best team to complete the task at hand would be WOS.  Unfortunately, those guys are no longer with us. Looks like you are down to the last one, Silsbee.  But if you think it's going to be that easy, you guys are misinformed.  We know Silsbee is a good team, they wouldn't be here if they weren't and neither would we.  Are we where we would like to be, of course not, there's always room for improvement.  Just remember, our boys work hard just like the next one does.  Will we talk down on them because they want it just like the next, absolutely not.  We expect 100% and nothing less.  At the end of the day, our boys will give us all that they have and then some.  We know what our weaknesses are and we know what Silsbee's are too.  And we would be less than honest if we said we don't think we WILL beat Silsbee.  That is our goal and we expect too achieve it.  Also, let it be known that it will be a decisive win!!  We will play 4 quarters, for 32 minutes!! And the best team that night WILL WIN!! Hope to see you guys in the building on Tuesday.  We will be back in here after the game either way and we hope you guys will do the same.  We wish we had a spot like this in the city, competition and the ability to speak freely is always good.

Unfortunately that's not about to happen.  How do you feel we have an unfair advantage?  Silsbee is talented and they have speed also.  They can crash the boards also.  In the 4th quarter against Kashemere, they had their way with the Rams.  Seems like it will be a great game for sure.

The fans of Silsbee know what is at stake.
Some people on this board already think that Yates will beat Silsbee by 30+
It will be a very difficult game for Silsbee to win and the majority of Tiger fans realize that.

The Tigers have a lot of heart & pride and if Yates takes them lightly the Tigers have a chance.
