thetragichippy
It would have been incompetence on the part of the TEA and Williams, maybe even seen as criminal, to not have taken action!!! This is truly a sad day for all of SE Texas!! This is a great day for SE Texas,,,,,,you have to start somewhere. IF nothing would have happened, then I agree it would be a sad day. PURPLE 4EVER
WOW!!!! Wonder if they will change to the name of BISD's new stadium so named after the guy who oversaw all the corruption?
PhatMack19
Looks like BISD will appeal http://www.beaumontenterprise.com/news/article/BISD-will-appeal-TEA-s-decision-to-replace-board-5403649.php
thetragichippy
So they appeal to the organization that made the decision in the first place...... A COMPLETE waste of time and more wasted taxpayer money.....

NorthoftheBorder
It will probably take a swat team to get the current power group out of the buildings!!
Bigdog
Why did Lambert retire so quickly? Probably thought she could avoid prosecution. Wont work though.
BMTSoulja1
I'm glad she's gone. I never cared for her being in administration. Imo, she was a cause of most of past and present confusion... Mr. Buddy Garrity
usedtobe
Once again I'll repeat that I don't live within the BISD boundaries so I really have no say. However, that never has stopped me before and it won't now. There MUST be a new schoolboard elected within two years. Apparently, thoss on the board now can run for re-election when that vote comes up. So, in theory, Beaumont could see the same board elected then that is being swept out now. Seems like there should be a rule that anyone on a school board that has to be replaced by order of the TEA is NOT ELIGIBLE to sit on that board again. How many "Walkers" does a community have to endure?

mat
I saw a news report that stated El Paso's failed appeal cost them $80,000 in legal fees.
PNGFan
I saw a news report that stated El Paso's failed appeal cost them $80,000 in legal fees. BISD is wasting 80k on Jesse, so what's 80k more?
thetragichippy
BISD is wasting 80k on Jesse, so what's 80k more? It has to surpass 8 million and an FBI/TEA investigation to get their attention

Seems like there should be a rule that anyone on a school board that has to be replaced by order of the TEA is NOT ELIGIBLE to sit on that board again. How many "Walkers" does a community have to endure? Could, and likely will. Which is why I said the entire administration needs to be replaced. That way, whatever superintendent takes over after TEA returns control to local voters will have an administration that isn't saturated with cronies privy to this kind of corruption, and would thus have a harder time getting away with it in the short term. BMTSoulja1
I was replying to the previous post. Lambert has been a snake for quite some time... there was other snakes, but she's the main one. No hard evidence though. Just information I've obtained from what I would call a trustworthy source...
