Collegiate Track - 2 year letterman Del Mar Junior College

Collegiate Football - 2 year letterman Del Mar Junior College, led team in rushing soph. year; 2 year letterman Sam Houston State University; 83 yard interception return, the 2nd longest in school history.

Dennis "Jabo" Leonard 1968-1972

Football - Member of 1971 State Co-Championship Team; All District Soph., Jr., & Sr. year; All State Sr. year; Team Captain and Most Valuable Player Award Sr. year; 277 completions for 4576 passing yards; 47 career touchdown passes (8 in one game National record); 18 career field goals (State record); 162 career extra points (State record); 66 extra points in a season (State record); 12 extra points in a game (State record).

Tennis - District Champion Doubles, Soph., Jr., & Sr. year. Regional Finalist Jr. year.

Golf - District Champion and Regional Qualifier Jr. and Sr. years; District Medallist Sr. year.

Basketball - Three Varsity letters Honorable Mention All District Sr. year.

Collegiate Football - Lamar University four year letterman; 52 consecutive extra points (school record); 29 career field goals (school record); Longest field goal 52 yards; All Southland Conference Sr. year; Best Team Player Award Sr. year 1975.

If he were not from BH, WOS may not have ever won a game. How about Jabo's statistics. Man was he a player or what. Also, check out Bob Steck.......they don't say a lot about him, but he was a freak when it came to speed on the track.

I have read where that 55' BH team scored something like 455 point that year and only allowed 10 :shock: To bad reginols were as far as you could go back then.
