Why doesnt Lumberton...

Change their school colors to the Silver & Black...Be the real Raaaiidda's. that oiler blue and red doesnt give the Raider name justice. They need to be more intimidating :shock: ....Come on Lumberton ISD...SILVER & BLACK....

Yes I agree, silver and black is very intimidating and now is the time since they are playing so well.

Lumberton really should change their colors, that's one ugly color combination they have. I bet if they voted on it everyone would want to change. If your are going to play like champions dress like champions.

hell im from l-town and i haaate the colors. black and silver should be voted in for next year. the only problem is the lumberton school district probably woulnd even fork out the money for them.

Talk to them. Winning brings people together, next thing you know you will have a PROGRAM TO BE PROUD OF and everyone will will benefit, the play off's are fun wheather you win state or not.

Powder Blue is the color of my daughters bedroom, not the color of an intimidating, hard nosed football team. That's why WO-S went away from the royal blue to the navy blue many years ago.

LadyRaider makes a good point...Really and truly why would the color combo be intimidating when Lumberton has never won in football? I know some people quake when they see the colors on the Lady Raiders Basketball team. Plus if they were to take silver and black it would be simply copying the NFL team. (which originally they may have done anyways... Bears, Panthers Etc.). But give Lady Raider a break she is a 2010 that makes her what.. a freshman? all she has is the cliche's her coaches hand her.

Yea..I am a freshmen..but ya know I've been good friends with all those guys and Coach Creduer since I was little..Creduer coached with my Uncle at Kelly..So I know him & I know his players..I also know the amount of heart and dedication they have..

well being from lumberton i will tell you the WASPs of the town think its good looking, they are more interested in them being cute little mommas boy's and making good grades (which isnt a problem except where football or other sports is concerned) so the red and blue works fine for them.... correction most of the people in lumberton the attitude that oakland uses would fly with some but not all

We should just stick to the color we have now lumberton always changes colors heck our band has navy blue and red uniforms! Our boys basketball team is red and gray1 the football team is baby blue,red, and white!
