Both those games should have been Silsbee wins. Couple of bad breaks but that's football.

From my understanding, Silsbee's defensive line is a bit under sized. (missing Ayden Bell terribly). It also didn't help losing a key linebacker (Saenz) during the game. Silsbee's defense simply got wore down in 2nd half due to being on the field 75-80% of the time in 2nd half.

Then add in the fact that these are children and the mask are even less useful with nose wiping & sticking their hands in their mouths. Seriously folks, wearing homemade mask to prevent Covid is analogous to putting up a chain link fence to keep out mosquitoes. Same think on a bigger scale.

Kevon’s mother posted on Facebook that he had a concussion and swelling and bleeding behind one eye that will require surgery next week. There was no bleeding on the brain and no bone fractures. They are giving him medication to help him sleep at night.

Ain’t no one beating their chest after one game! You can agree with the HC hire or disagree with the hire. Believe your tax $$$ are being wasted etc. But one thing is for certain. We have to get behind the HC and his team and buy into what he is selling to give his program a chance. This is a young team with years ahead of them. A lot of opportunity for growth and experience to be learned this year. But if you don’t go into each game believing your have a chance to win, you’re already defeated. This is my last son to go through the program and I have this year and 2 more. I, just like many, believe we will see improvement each game and are excited to see the growth.

Who cares if he was egotistical, as long as he got the job done. That’s the difference between conservatives and liberals, we want results and they’re about intentions and emotions. As far as FDR goes, he’s responsible for a lot of the entitlement issues we are having now, which was doubled down by Johnson. He was by no means a great President, unless you’re a fan of Socialism. That’s where we’re at in this country sadly, many would rather have the gov meet their needs than get off their butt and do for themselves. That’s how the FDRs and Johnsons become heros to the left when in reality they were the beginning of the end for this great country.

I imagine Port Arthur popper has more residence than groves and or Pt Neches. Having said that, it's the bias we current and former residence of PA have a problem with. Beaumont surprise have the same Bubble bias. We don't control the media round these parts. Even when PA wins, somehow, there's something about the Bubble on the cover...... Some footage is better than none. It’s hard to tell from 1 game just how good Lancaster is and Katy Paetow for that matter. IMO I think KP is bigger than PAM and probably a little better defense. PAM looks to have a better O than KP at this point of the season. I see BH being able to score ,but our D will have to deal with a speedy QB and that big back y’all have. Still have PAM by 3 scores, but hope to see an improved BH this week.

I would not label Jasper as a mediocre 4A team. They are ranked in the top 20. Now PNG and United, one could say they are mediocre 5A teams.

Not many curvy crooked roads. Drive up Hwy 92 through Silsbee, Fred, Spurger, Town Bluff. Hit 190 and find your way to the Lakes. A few curves. Very scenic.

You’re not very smart. I know several of those coaches very well. The ones I know have more than just a clue about coaching. Facts: 1. Its the first game of the season. Let’s relax before throwing the whole season in the dumpster. 2. The head coach is gone. It’s definitely going to throw confusion into the mix. Hopefully they can work out the kinks and the confusion before next week. 3. They were playing a good Nederland team that are also in a bigger division. It wasn’t supposed to be a cakewalk. Give Nederland their props for being good. 4. The game was called early due to weather. If WOS had the full clock and came back to win, y’all would be touting this coaching staff as the best in the area. They lost by 1 score guys… Most importantly. If those coaches were to blame, then that falls on Coach T for not having a contingency plan for him not being there and for not selecting and developing better coaches for his staff. I guess if you want to blame a coach, go to the top. That’s where the buck stops. I just don’t think that’s the case. Prayers for Coach T and his recovery. And prayers for the fans and the armchair coaches who just don’t know better. It’s not their fault either. They mean well but might be stupid.

Yessir Aldine along with many many others. The districts that come to mind in DFW are Garland, Mesquite, Richardson, Irving, Carrollton; they all used to produce great football teams, but are now no longer competitive

His health and recovery are the most important thing right now. Hopefully he didn't even watch the game last night. This isn't like coach Hooks sitting in the golf cart. I don't know what he will be able/allowed to do. He needs to be envoled in the day to day operations. I'd have someone wearing a tablet with him on face time. Riley dodge actually coached a game from home last year in the playoffs while in quarantine. But T ain't no spring chicken. One can only hope for the best. Get well soon coach.
