Lose to #1 team in state and run the coach off. Carthage had nothng to do with any of it. You think you can coach better, go apply for the job. I promise you its not as easy as you think sitting in the stands.4 points

Well...after a full week to look at all angles. I am going with strength of schedule between these two. PNG has played in a Gauntlet of a District and all 4 are still standing. I think there is a good chance all 4 are still standing after this week! Going with my Indians who are peaking at the right time on both sides of the ball! Indians on top and move on!! Good luck to Crosby, BH and Texas City3 points -

I respect your opinion but regardless of the excuses Vidors offense is designed to eat up clock and wear you down. At that point in the game their defense was worn out. Vidors summer conditioning program was designed to get them to that position in a game an take advantage of their fatigue. Instead we let them off the hook. Vidor will literally go 2 or 3 games without making one pass. IMO you stick to what got there. Everyone stay with their block an pound the rock. I’ve seen a Vidor game this year where 3 passes were made an 2 of them were intercepted. Sorry but 4 passes in row on your own 25 yard with 2:00 left on the clock makes no sense. You can’t lean on something you rarely do with the game on the line. An no I will not be applying for any coaches positions because I like weekends off during football season. Lol. Hoping for a Speedy recovery for Coach Matthews.2 points -

Lol. How many turnovers would a backup have had? I promise you HF wouldn’t have scored. There have been a grand total of two teams score more than 14 points on Carthage this year, and one of them played in the 5A state championship game last season, and has a reasonable chance to get there again this year. You guys are killing me expecting HF to put up 35 or something and not turn the ball over against the best defense in the state. HF could’ve easily lost 3 district games. Y’all are acting like they’re WOS all of a sudden and should be competing in this one somehow.2 points

Last time I talked to stattrax I told him what I thought about Dave Campbell picking us not to make the playoffs. He told me have you seen our team they are brutal, but yet here we are. It's anyone's game and Montgomery isn't a powerhouse. I don't judge how teams do against other teams. I don't care who scored what on who. If Crippen can eliminate the turnovers and throw dimes last week we have a shot. If Trahan has a huge game we got a shot. If we make some stops and create a turnover or two we got a shot. That's why we play the game. According to the Mecca aka Code red we don't have a shot. Let the doubters doubt and let the believers believe. I think we will have one hell of a ball game come Friday night.2 points

HF has a pretty good year and then gets soundly beaten by a team that has lost 1 game in five seasons, and people are on here blaming the coaches and Heckaman. Come on, man. This team probably doesn’t make the playoffs without heckaman (4th seed at best). And they’ve had this good season running the same few plays over and over. There wasn’t anything that could’ve been done to change the outcome of this game. It was decided before it started. It might could’ve been a hair closer. That’s about it.2 points

From the evidence that I saw, Martin attacked Zimmerman. There was no evidence brought that Zimmerman attacked Martin. The 911 recording which I believe is still on YouTube, tells all you need to know without further evidence to the contrary. There was none. of course with speculation we could make up all kinds of scenarios but there was no evidence to back any up. A person does not have to think anything good about George Zimmerman to realize that the original district attorney in the case was correct, there was no evidence of murder beyond a reasonable doubt that overcame self-defense. It took the state and a special prosecutor to come in and announce an indictment without calling a grand jury. In fact Angela Corey made a public statement that she would not bring the case to a grand jury when the actual district attorney of that county had announced that he would bring the case to the graduate the next week. Corey had to quickly move to indict on her word only (allowed in FL) because she knew that the grand jury would likely return a No Bill. Is Zimmerman a good guy and a hero? Not in the least on either count. There is no evidence that Zimmerman harassed or even confronted Martin though. You are allowed that speculation but that is all it is.1 point

Pirates we're able to move the ball all second half via the ground game. Burning 3 TO's and the last one with 3 minutes in the game when CH was punting on 4th down at THAT! Also throwing it 4 straight times deep in CH territory, that's something Mathews would have never done. But cmon man.. we could use the injury crutch all we want - but turds roll down hill, play calling was a bigger issue than injuries last Friday.1 point -

No one is saying run the coaches off, theyre great, we love them. Playing calling on 1st down was the same play the whole first half, which lead to long 3rd downs. Seems like when we played wos, silsbee and this game we went away from our bread and butter...hecks arm, i love seeing this kid throw. We needed to give that young man breather at the some point during the game, #1 was head hunting him the whole 4th. Its okay to put the backup in when the score is like that towards the end. Txst and utsa both sitting close said playing calling wasnt mixed good enough for this type of game. We had a great season. Good job HF parents, coaches, players and fans. Now on to round ball and the diamond boys.1 point -

Ok....sorry. Carthage is that good. Talent that never ends. When they're offense is "down" and they will most likely go 16-0, they are that good. That being said nothing I would love more on this last 10 years for an upset of that size. Make no mistake. If Carthage never goes back up and Surratt stays....it will be a stupid amount of championships for the record books.1 point

That would be the two teams I’m talking about. And I still think Carthage beats them both. And Carthage is a little “down” this year. I’d say gilmer as well, but Carthage already comfortably beat them.1 point

I think the timing is right locally with the disease being all but eliminated in our area. I guess the real question is whether or not there will be another surge. My hope is that the disease will continue to mutate and lose its punch, so to speak. This last round was a lot worse as far as transmissions, but the rate of fatalities was actually lower than the first round. I hope that trend continues, because I think it's safe to say that it's not going completely away in the near future. I'm also convinced that the vaccines(s) aren't nearly as good as we'd all hoped. Big pharma is making too much money, and too much of it is going back to politicians. I'm not surprised that they're now looking at a third shot... there were four spots on my vax card, not just two.1 point -
They are going to be a very good group! Hopefully they can make it to the state tournament in the next year or two. Blum looks prepared to possibly run three straight. They list 11 players on varsity and 10 are either freshmen or sophomores.1 point

Just an update, according to the Port Arthur News, Noah was expected to return home in December but he is doing well enough to return home this coming Sunday or Monday. An atheist was seated next to a dusty old cowboy on an airplane and he turned to him and said, “Do you want to talk? Flights go quicker if you strike up a conversation with your fellow passenger.” The old cowboy, who had just started to read his book, replied to the total stranger, “What would you want to talk about?” “Oh, I don’t know,” said the atheist. “How about why there is no God, or no Heaven or Hell, or no life after death?” as he smiled smugly. “Okay,” he said. “Those could be interesting topics but let me ask you a question first. A horse, a cow, and a deer all eat the same stuff – grass. Yet a deer excretes little pellets, while a cow turns out a flat patty, but a horse produces clumps. Why do you suppose that is?” The atheist, visibly surprised by the old cowboy's intelligence, thinks about it and says, “Hmmm, I have no idea.” To which the cowboy replies, “Do you really feel qualified to discuss God, Heaven and Hell, or life after death, when you don’t know crap?”...........1 point

Yes. I have seen enough comments from people reading the news articles and some claim this is all about race. Yesterday I watched an MSNBC Producer and commentator on the show, The Young Turks, admit that she thought Rittenhouse chased down the first guy and shot him. Now with a video from the trail, she has seen that it was Rittenhouse running for his life and the convicted sex offender chasing him down. Oop….. But I wonder where she got this bogus information to begin with? Gee, could it be from the news media is not reporting there facts? You have a white guy who is accused of shooting three white guys and he has charges brought by a white district attorney, defended by white lawyers in front of a white judge… And it’s all about race? There are so many claims that Rittenhouse illegally possessed the firearm (he was a couple of months too young) or he lived out of state or he could’ve been somewhere else and somehow any of that negates the right of self defense AND should cause murder charges to be brought. HUH? Actually there is some validity to race game. Let’s play my favorite game, what if. So let’s make this about race. What if a young black female in Wisconsin is walking in an area of town that is not so good. She is doing nothing wrong and is simply walking home. A convicted sex offender attacks her, trying to sexually assault and maybe kill her. The young woman pulls a handgun out of her purse and shoots and kills a guy. It is clearly a case of lawful self-defense. However… The young woman is 21 years old but did not get a concealed handgun license. In Wisconsin you can carry openly but can only conceal if you have a license. In other words, she could’ve had it in a holster on the outside of her purse or worn it in a holster attached are jeans or something similar and it would be legal. Unfortunately she stuck it inside her purse. That is a crime in Wisconsin and even though she is lawfully in her right of self-defense the DA charges her with murder not because in self-defense was unlawful but because she illegally possess a handgun. So now this woman who actually defended her life against a sexual predator, is facing life in prison. And… Like Rittenhouse, she was a part of town she shouldn’t have been in. Yes it was legal and she has a right to come and go but it was not the smartest thing in the world. For that reason, let’s charge her with Murder. Some of the same people who are complaining about Rittenhouse would almost certainly have a different opinion. Far from being put on trial for murder, she would be seen as a roll model of a young black woman standing up for herself. If the DA brought charges against her with the facts as I have described, there would be large protests outside of the court room and they might turn into riots. How many people doubt that would be true? People from the left would be claiming that maybe she does have some charges for concealing a handgun (or maybe not even then) but you can’t translate that into murder charges. You can’t say that she did not make a wise choice in where she walked so she deserves to go to prison for life….. yet that is exactly what some of the same people are saying about Kyle Rittenhouse. So maybe some peoples’ opinion it was about race. I feel like many of the people who are now happy that Kyle Rittenhouse is being charged with murder would have an exact opposite opinion if it was as my what if scenario. I also think that people who are defending Rittenhouse, would also defend this theoretical black female and not want her in prison for killing a violent sex offender and defending her own life.1 point
-
I really struggle with how delusional the left has become in general. Don't get me wrong, there are some seriously delusional people on the right as well, but the ratio is skewed incredibly far to the left. All of the evidence, and there is a LOT of it, (including clear video of all shootings) points towards self-defense. Nearly all of the prosecution's witnesses are proving the case of self-defense. The prosecution is not following the law and disobeying judge's orders in an attempt to illegally sway the jury (or to put the weight of dismissal on the judge to avoid losing when the jury returns). And somehow, through all of this, the left has come not to the conclusion that Rittenhouse was defending himself, but that the judge is a biased, neo-nazi, unfair cheater? Some of the news articles and social media comments I've been reading are mind blowing.1 point
