1. In a losing effort. Garrison Mitchell - 7 catches for almost 100 yards 2 Interceptions on defense Several tackles A punt return that almost went the distance.
 2. ...and you're picking a shutout over us and you allowed PN-G to score more than once on you?  Yea, ok.  ;) 8)
 3. 7 TD's were left on the field last night and they still had a chance to win the game with seconds left.  I suppose if we clean that up, we'll be ok.  Just for the record, we've played a team that accross the boards are more athletic than WO-S and are bigger and went toe to toe with them.  I like Central: Stangs - 17 Jags -- 20
 4. This will be a good test for the Pirates.  If these guys were able to go toe to toe with LaPorte, you would expect them to run Vidor off of the field.  But you can't underestimate them.  A lot of teams have done this last year and were left scratching their heads.
 5. Wow.  Someone couldn't wait.  I mean, can this Saturday at least come and go yet?  Sheeesh!
 6.
It's two beaumont schools, what you expect....... ;) ;)
This comming from a person that backs a team who ia 0 fer vs ANY Beaumont team all time.  ;)
 7.

Ozen, please represent the city of Beaumont well because Central and West Brook are playing like junior high schoolers. Anything over six turnovers combined is lttle league football at best.
ouch  :o
He's not lying.  Tell him to make sure Ozen don't let a Middle School team beat them in the district opener.  ;)
 8. Overall, this game was probably the sloppiest game I've ever seen. Both teams made boneheaded mistakes.  At one point, it got soooo ridiculous that one of our offensive linemen (same kid) false started 4 times in a row, causing 1st and 30.  There were SEVERAL Central TD's left in the field...  A couple by the officials, a couple by the Central staff, and maybe 1 by the players.  Even though we scored on special teams, our special teams sucks.  We can't hit an extra point to save our lives (missed 3 if those) and was horrible all night on special teams coverage.  There were bright spots though.  Lil Mitchell on offense was a great move  he led the team in catches tonight including one where he stretched out and dove to get the reception.  And imagine that.  With all that said and done, we still had a chance with less than a minute to win the game while inside the 10 yard line. this is what big D was talking about.  We get a chance with about 10 seconds left in the half and we do a running play...  Mind you, NO timeouts left.  Why not pass the ball.  If incomplete, the clock stops.  At the end, several chances to either get the first down or score the go ahead td.  We fail.  Good defensive playcalling by WB in the last few seconds.  Game balls:  WB's # 25 is a load.  He is what kept them going. Central's G. Mitchell:  2 INT in defense and lead team in catches and yards and wasn't too bad on returning punts either.  Still have one more tune up game before district.  I think we'll be in the thick of the district race. Excuse the typos.  Posted this from phone.

He has offers from almost every school in the country. That's big time right there
I love what the kid is doing and how he is handling the attention that he is getting, but let's put this in prespective.  He has world class speed and is a heck of an athlete.  But, he will  need a lot of work between this year and next year to be an elite CB, which is what he'll be playing in college.  I don't think he's there yet, but I think eventually, he will.
Doesn't he play safety for Ozen?  At 6'1" 190 he already has the body type of an NFL safety.  Put him in a top college with a good weight training program and the sky is the limit.
Yes, but he has CB speed.  I question his quickness, but kid can fly, nontheless.
 10. It's still under contruction.  That was established even in the summer.  I believe West Brook had the option to continue to use the gym temporarily or practice at the Butch and use the facilities there just like last year.  With that being said, there is working being done there and when it's finished, which is soon, it won't look the way it looks now.

If they continue to get better that Central vs Ozen game might come down to be for the last playoff spot.
I  hope you're right.  I'd be completely satisfied with any of those playoff spots.  If we keep getting better and end up peaking, I wouldn't mind beating [s]Vidor[/s] Vidor's scoreboard keeper or Nederland.
had to fix it up Soulja  ;)
It's funny that you say that.  I still don't know  who was in charge of that phantom scoreboard.  ;D ;D
I'm supposing that Vidor's defense (9 returning starters) isn't stout and that Nederland is gonna run amuck on us in Vidor, just like they did last year at chihuahua stadium. Not to say that Santa Fe was anything special but they didn't make a FIRST DOWN until the second half when the sophs were playing. Also, Nederland didn't have the answer last year to Vidor's running game even though we lost Bollinger early on; it's based upon execution and deception instead of brute strength. Both mid-county teams play us in the Boneyard this year...you better hope they bring the vaunted mid-county officiating with them...
One thing for sure...  That famous 'scoreboard' at the boneyard will be present.  ;D ;D ;) ;)
C'mon Soulja, help a brother out....
;D

I saw crosby scrimmage the week before yall played them. I think if you would read my previous post I picked ned to win.
IMO, people put a lot weight into how good the Walter twins are but forget how much Crosby lost last year to graduation and that they have a new coach. Two junior football players don't equal a good football team.
Great post!
 21.
He can have the helm, next year. We need a passing threat to open up the offense, right now.
Do you know if Clack is a go for Friday?
 22.
I didnt see the Ozen game, so i have little to go on, other than what folks have told me. As bad as the defense played, i cant see Flanagan letting the same thing happen two weeks in a row. Also, Chris Clack didnt play at QB. Nothing against Padia, but Clack is the starter and can fun the offense better. Ozen is probably the most athletic team in the area, and WB almost beat them. If both sides of the ball improve, like they should, then i like the Bruins chances in this game.
Tebow!  :D :D
