1. Scooter, you jumped on the Memorial Bandwagon at just the right time, my man!  I havn't heard any talk of Lufkin in quite a few years.  8) 8)
 2. Ok, guys.  Settle down a little with the talk about these coaches.  They are both good coaches and will have their respective teams ready for district.
 3.
Headlines:  Tornado season in question this year. No Tornado touchdowns sighted in Galveston during Jag game as Central blew away any hopes of a Galveston Ball win.    ;D
Y'all must be trying to make this week of Headlines the best ever!  ;D ;D
 4.
Jags show their "cat like reflexes" as they bounce back and tear through Ball with a "Tornado" like  WIN!!!
I likes!!!
 5. Memorial breaks 50.  56-14 Titans.
 6. Congrads to the Lions on the win.  They only played who's on their schedule.  But, what this game shows is that Livingston will be mirror images of last year.  Very powerful  offense with a not so great defense. There is no way you allow Washington to score that many points.  But that offense they run will negate that. They put the pressure on your offense to score. They'll do fine.  They will need to go from being a bad defensive team to an average defense to make good on a possible district crown.
 7.
I been around SoulJa. Got tired of some of the non-sports verbage people use on these sights.....just wanta talk sports and smack about sports. Don't like it when it gets personal. Also, my job takes me a lot of places....headed to Thailand next week for two months...gonna miss my Pirates....it's all good though. Sure wanted to see another Central - Vidor battle....always a great game!!! Hope you and your family are well and I'll try to not be a stranger.
8.
Bring back Todd Waters!
I actually liked his offensive playcalling.  Did counter runs at the right time.  Called option plays when he saw the opposing DE not playing disciplined.  He ran trap plays when he saw the O-Line were dominating the D-Linemen.  He called pass plays when he absolutely knew the other team were not expecting it.  I agree, though.  Since he left with the previous coach, let it be.  We can't cry over spilled milk.
 9.
Well played SoulJa!!!! How ya' been???
I've been alright, Man.  Where you been hiding?
 10.
HEADLINE: Dogs choke on the Flex bone. Barbers Hill scores 49 and, Beats the Bulldogs one more time. With a knick-knack, paddy whack, And a good flex bone, They send them Dogs a-limping home.  ;D
Good one!!    ;D ;D
 11.
Why, he did not have a clue in the box, what's gonna change his dumb play calls? Screens,Slants ever heard of them, I would rather see you go back under center and run the option rather than this non-existing spread, just a thought! Find some offense Mr. Imonthesideline!!!!!!
Let's try not to call him out like that.  I do someone agree with some  of what you said.  Hopefully, the playcalling will improve before district starts.  I don't care where he wants to post up at.  He can sit in the stands next to me if he wants.  As long as we start moving that ball like we should, I don't care.
 12.
Who will win this weekend?  If you are playing an HISD team, that is good news!  Big game in the Triangle will be in Nederland where the Bulldogs and the Eagles will play a barn burner.  If you are west of the Trinity (aka Houston area) the game to be at will be in Angleton, where two of the top Houston area schools lock horns on the gridiron.  The Angleton and Dayton game should be worth the price of admisssion.  Find out who wins by clicking on the link... 13.
The spread isn't for everyone, ask Nederland.
I think Nederland ran a really good spread offense.
 14.
. Good taste? Probably not. Racial? I highly doubt it. Was it such a big deal that the national media and the NAACP needed to get involved? Absolutely not?
Thats what I was saying... Why does it have to grab even local media attention. it offended some, I get that.. could have and should have been handled between the districts
I completely agree!
 15. I hate the spread as well.  Football is won and lost in the trenches.  Let those hogs run block and win you the game.  Let them still work when running screen passes.  They also get some of that run blocking when doing playaction passes.  Now THAT'S footall.  Not that sandlot stuff they love to do now.

 17.
I wish they ran 22 more and took snaps from center......
They do take snaps under center, but the playcalling is very predictable when we line up under center.  We need a trough of pass plays as well out of the Single back and I formations.
 18. In that particular instance, it could be percieved as distasteful.
 19. I'll say. The Recievers were dropping open passes.  But that's with any reciever.  You catch some, but you drop some as well.  I think it's  a combination of both.  Mitchell have not seen open recievers downfield at times.  sometimes, he'll not read the coverage right, or sometimes, the reciever runs the wrong route.  We just need to get that passing game in gear so that we can get this ball rolling.  Our O-line is blocking a lot better now. We need to use that to our advantage.
But Soulja--I grew up in a majority Cajun community in Lafayette LA. back in the 60's.  Every body was "bro" then.  I kind of wish we could think that way once again without being offensive.  Also, why does a particular race get to decide when a certain term is to be considered racial?
Well, I didn't grow up in the 60's as I have no idea of how it was back then.  I grew up in the 80's and 90's, where things, I'm sure were a little different.  In some instances, 'Bro' can be considered borderline.  In that situation, with the football game, It can raise a few eyebrows with some, brush a few the wrong way with others, or infuriate others.  I assume that some would get offended as others would take it as a joke.
Well ok---I guess.  You may have indicated or proven that I am a very old man...LOL. Anyway, as long as i can continue my versions of the Panther, Jaguar, and Da Bear legends in both the classic poetic version and new stylish rap version--then I am A-ok--Brother.
;D ;D  You're good, Bro!  8) 8)
