My first football game was the last year of Lamar football. I was a little kid and I didn't know what was going on. All I remember was rolling down the hills at LU Stadium. The game that I actually do remember was '92 or '93 I believe. Central Vs. West Brook. Beaumont bowl. I remember seeing Leeland McElroy whipping some booty.

Barbers Hill fans. Why don't you submit a good looking picture to TexasBob and his website at [Hidden Content] ? That way, your stadium picture and information can get updated. There is an e-mail that you submit the information to.

Trey Green is a go by the season opener. The problem is what will happen if he is re-injured. Who will be the backup QB? I think Ozen will be fine reguardless. They have athletes in abundance over there in the Pear Orchard. They will find someone to plug in there.
Heard from an unreliable source that R. Mitchell will be transferring to Ozen. Look-out 20-4A ;) ;D
Now, that is pure-D balogna! :D :D -
From a homer point of view, nothing beats the Reservation. The concessions, however, are poor. The Butch is my favorite local stadium for away games. The stadium is awesome! Plus, the smoked turkey legs and popcorn balls make for the best Friday night game food anywhere!
I love those smoked turkey legs! -
When I think of the D1 players hype, I cant help but think about Dominic Merka at Crosby. This young man is a very gifted and highly recruited athlete. He had limited success at the high school level because he didnt have enough help. Football is a team sport. Remember Ivory Williams at Central? A wide reciever with world-class speed, but they couldnt get the ball to him. Football is a team sport. Brenham Fan, you are right though. It does take good coaching AND talent.
For your information, Ivory Williams had limited success at Central on the football team because he was held back from his potiention by his parents. They wanted him to be a track star. As a sophmore, he played RB and was an absolute man among boys. After that, they wanted him on limited usage. They wanted him in maybe twice a drive. So, IMO, 'Chopper' may be a bad example.

Ozen hoping man made hill will help

I think they were more into a gradual incline. You'll get that from a hill vs. Bleachers. That's just my 2 cents anyway... -

This season, it will have to be our stadium. We have 7 home games. In the playoffs? I hope we get a game at Woodforrest stadium or Deer Park. -

IMO, I think Bertrand's big numbers last year was directly because of how good their O-Line was. I think Doty benifited from the running game being good, not vise-versa. I think Bertrand's numbers will not be as good and will be looking for the passing game to help out. This depends on how the Incomming QB does passing the rock.
