HJ picked up one first down but had to punt it away.

Kountze went three and out. HJ fumbled on second play.

Not going to bother posting any 2nd team stuff due to the number advantage.

Kountze picked up two 1st downs and about 20 yards in their 10 plays. Both defenses are well ahead of their offenses.

HJ picked up just one 1st down in their 10 plays. Bout 15 yards of offense.

HJ with 53 suited out for varsity. Most I have ever seen them have. Kountze has 24 suited out.

Going to go check out Hardin-Jefferson at Kountze tonight. Starts at 6pm.

Josh Hader was diagnosed with a "capsule sprain" in his left shoulder and won't throw for at least three weeks. So that means for at least the next 18 games or so, Houston will be without their closer Hader. Someone else will need to be the closer for a while. Might see Abreu move to that spot and have others be the 8th inning man.

His family are major LSU folk. All of them went to LSU. Grandpa, grandma, momma, etc. Grandpa and Grand Uncle were big athletes at LSU. Kid has great potential, but that LSU connect is not necessarily about him.

I had a buddy coach of mine go to that scrimmage. He said Huffman is very legit. HF will be fine but they are not that good in the trenches on both sides of the ball. LB's are on the small size and not very fast. He said he would be curious how the QB does when the defenses are allowed to make contact.

In the BISD case, the naming of the stadium was strictly a school board kissing butt. Majority of community wasn't really behind it. (including part of the black community). The school board made the decision without any input from the community. Only a very small portion of the community want the stadium name to go back to Thomas. Might be a loud portion, but definitely not the majority. I can't speak on the Midland community and how the majority of it's community wanted the Lee name back. Sounds like their voices were heard. I think it's different due to what the majority wants from both these communities.

It's 5. That's what DCTF has and what their head coach told me. Mustangs have 6 returners on offense. Lumberton returns 7 on offense and 3 on defense.

In the controlled part, WO-S scored 3 TD's (2 for 1st team and 1 for 2nd team). Lumberton did not score and only picked up one 1st down. In the two live quarters, WO-S scored 1 TD. Lumberton did not score and never crossed the 50. Overall, WO-S scored 4 TD's, Lumberton 0 TD's. Mustang defense looks really really good. Lumberton looks like they could struggle this year. Just first scrimmage. Lot's of football to be played.
