Celebrating another 4th down here on the beach. One thing about being down here, don't have to buy fireworks. Plenty being shot for us to watch on the beach.

Astros treated this day game as a "throw away" game. Used pitchers that haven't seen much action of late to rest some other arms. Houston loses 7-6 but still got the series win over Colorado. On to the Dodgers for a 3 game weekend series at Chavez Ravine.

The Astros just had their BEST June in team history, going 19-7 with a .731 winning percentage. IN FACT, this was the 5th best record for a full month in ALL of the Astros history.

Abreu was on today. Going 2 innings in relief. Another typical outing for Framber and Hader.

McCullers should have stayed out today. smh 3 1/3, 8 runs, 7 hits, 4 BB and a HBP. Also gave up a total of 17 bases in that 1/3 of the 4th inning.

Hader sets an Astro record with 22 consecutive saves to start the season. McCullers is coming off IR and will get start tomorrow.

Won't hear a peep from him while they are winning. But let them lose 3-4 in a row and he will come out of the cracks like cockroaches. This was an impressive sweep of one of the hottest teams in baseball. Pitching was outstanding!!
