  1. After watching the game on TL the following morning, I think folks need to show some respect for Baytown Sterling. They are definitely a good team and one that can cause some issues for the rest of the district teams. I don't think Memorial will have too many problems with them, but Lufkin, West Brook and United will.
  2. Who are the top 4? Obviously PN-G, Montgomery and Huntsville. But who is the 4th team if it's not either Ned/Day/WF like you mentioned?
  3. Very very impressed with Lumberton tonight. Raiders really dominated from start to finish. Lumberton came into the game averaging just 16.75 points a game, scored 45. Raiders averaged just 260 yards total offense thru 4 games, they had that and more in rushing yards tonight along with about 100 yards in passing. Huffman came in averaging 48 points a game, scored 22. Falcons were averaging 294 yards rushing per game but were held to just 70 yards rushing tonight. Their RB Bacon was averaging 177 yards per game and 12 yards per carry. Tonight, he had 56 yards on 19 carries. Raiders completely controlled the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. Both RB's for Lumberton went over 100 yards with Williams leading with 175. Lumberton only attempted 11 passes completing 6 for 100. Lumberton scored on their first 7 possessions (6 TD's, FG). Only possession they did not score on was the last possession when the backups played. Was the only time Lumberton punted tonight. Defensively was just as good. Solid line play and great tackling from all. Secondary covered well. Really kept this potent Huffman offense in check. All in all a great game plan from Coach McDonald and staff and great execution from the players. Just a great win for the Raiders. One has to mention (which we did in the broadcast) that strength of schedule really showed tonight. Lumberton was clearly the better team and you have to believe the tougher schedule really mattered. Congrats Raiders on a job well done.
  4. Put me down to help broadcast that game. I like when I can get out of the stadium before 9:30. lol
  5. I agree on that last drive. But kirkwood29 or yoda (whichever username is being used at the time) implied that all starters were pulled when the 4th quarter started and that simply isn't true or at the least very misleading. The last EC drive was filled with backup players including EC.
  6. DCTF has Trinity as a 7 point favorite.
  7. Give me Trinity, 39-20
  8. All jokes aside, Hardin is no joke this year.
  9. Even though Jones didn't get into the endzone last night, he made some really tough runs. But what sets him apart from most players is how well he plays at linebacker. He was very instrumental on that side of the ball as well. Tough hard nosed player who routinely puts himself in position to make a play every play. Like I said, district MVP.
  10. Hardin has really good size on the Oline but EC is pretty light defensively. The advantage was greatly shown last night. Hardin basically played "bully ball". Several "tush pushes" last night as well.
  11. The Hill got trapped.
  12. I'm currently watching that game right now. Sterling defense looks good.
  13. Another impressive stat from last night. Hardin scored TD's on all 6 of their possessions last night. (I don't count the last possession that was a one play kneel down to end game) No question in my mind who the district MVP is this season. Trevor Jones. Case closed
  14. Hardin attempted just one pass tonight. Also, thru the first 6 games this season, Hardin has yet to punt the ball.
  15. Glad this one wasn't on our pickem list.
