That is Nazareth's 26th state championship. Started in 1977. So basically for the past 50 years, they win a championship every other year.

One could say that the Region III D2 championship was played in Winnie a week ago.

IMO, something of this nature should be put on the ballot for the public to vote on. But the special interest groups don't want that.

That makes now 18 of the last 21 seasons that the regional champion is either Silsbee or a team that eliminated Silsbee from the playoffs.
