The #15 ranked Silsbee Tigers will host perennial 4A power Beaumont Ozen in a non district game at the Tiger Den in Silsbee tonight. The Tigers come in with a 2-1 record while Ozen sports a 2-3 record. This should be a classic matchup between two of the top basketball programs in Southeast Texas. Due to subvarsity games being played prior to this game, the broadcast time will be approximate, somewhere around 7:30pm. Depending on what time Silsbee plays that day in the Big Sandy tourney will determine how long I can stay that day. I am thinking Silsbee will play around 4pm that day. I should be able to see Huntington also that day.

[/quote] If you are speaking of Orangefield and Silsbee, last year's games weren't too close. Silsbee defeated Orangefield by 20, 62-42 in Orangefield, and then by 30 in Silsbee, 83-53. Obviously those two nights weren't the "given" nights. ;)

[/quote] They will be good, as usual. Probably not as strong as last year's team though. Most of their scoring graduated last year. Last year was their year to win it all, I thought.

Now that football is over, I will turn my broadcast attention over to Tiger Basketball. I will be starting with the home game this Tuesday night against Ozen and will do as many Silsbee games as possible through out the season. I will be broadcasting Tiger games at the Big Sandy and YMBL tourneys.
