I see match up problems for Hudson in this one. Hudson dont have any bigs.
I agree. Silsbee will have a definite advantage.
 2. Scoring for both teams: Silsbee D.C. Stallworth          16 (15 rebounds, 4 assists) Pheal Hill                   15 (5 steals) Prentice Lane             13 ( 6 rebounds) Kelton Gaines              9 Kendrick Jones            3 ( 10 rebounds) Avory Thomas             3 ( 7 rebounds) WOS Jakeenan Cotton          13 D'Andra Brooks-Gentry  11 Anthony Noble             10 Darius Davis                 6 Robert Redd                 4 Justin Francis               4 Deron Griffin                 2 Kendrick Budwine          1 Score by quarters                             1      2      3      4      tot Silsbee                   8      15     15    21     59 WOS                      9      16     15    9      49 Team stats Foul shooting Silsbee   22/33   66% WOS      14/22   63% 3 point shooting Silsbee   2/7   28% WOS     3/18  16% Turnovers Silsbee    15 WOS       18 Rebounds Silsbee    39 WOS       29 Summary What a difference 3 days make as far as free throw shooting goes. Last Thursday, Silsbee missed 22 free throws, tonight the Tigers make 22 free throws. Silsbee was 15/18 in the 2nd half. This was a back and forth game thru the first 3 quarters as both teams only led by as much as 5 points. But the 4th quarter belonged to Silsbee and D.C. Stallworth. Stallworth scored 13 of his 16 in the second half with 8 of those coming in the 4th. Silsbee made some great adjustments going into the 4th by moving Stallworth down on the baseline and letting him get inside for some scoring. Defensively they put a little more pressure in the full court, getting some steals and forcing some turnovers. In the end, the Tigers were too much down the stretch for the Mustangs. Silsbee now makes their 5th appearance in the regionals in the last 6 years, with this being their 4th straight.

 4.

Cleveland looked good but looked beatable..... #3, 12, and 24 were knocking down threes......Madisonville just didn't have the guards to hang. HJ by five.....
They destroyed a team like Madisonville and still look beatable?
Yeah.....
Gotta love it, no-look. ;D
 5. This is the Hawks fourth straight regional, same as Silsbee. ;)
 6. Orangefield, nuff said.
 7. Take the Jimmy Johnson exit, turn left on Jimmy Johnson, go past the golf course, then turn right on 9th Avenue. School is about a 1/2 mile down 9th Avenue on right.
 8.
I would love to see it but I cannot imagine that it could ever happen.  I just don't know how they can justify it. I read a while back that someone overheard Coach McGallion say that he would never see turf on that field in his lifetime.  Don't know if he said it or not but I would tend to agree.
Never say never. ;) From the info I have gathered and talking to the people in the know (school board, AD) it's being discussed very seriously. There was a presentation a couple of meetings ago and a turf company has already come out to do the measuring and analysis. Like I said, a few things have to be taken care of, but don't be surprised if it's done before football season.
 9. This is not a Region III poll, but just a SETX poll. That's why there are other classifications in the poll. Admit it, you just can't stand a poll without Brenham being involved. ;) ;D
 10. A team can nominate any senior player. Doesn't necessarily have to be the best player.

Nederland….good showing in Houston 2. Orangefield…took care of business in Lumberton 3. Jasper…a sweep in vidor tourney 4. Port Neches-Groves…split with Sulphur, Reyenga 1 hitter 5. Lumberton..a sweep in own tourney 6. LCM..plays defense, clutch hitting 7. Bridge City..who will be no.2 in rotation 8. Vidor…who will be no.2 in rotation 9. Kelly..solid team 10.Hamshire-Fannett..ho hit HJ, gave Hudson a game 10. WOS..beat Kelly and competed with Jasper
I would agree with this for OUR area teams who play each other on a consistent basis.
Easy now....don't get so offensive.  Have your area, but wheather you like it or not....If you're 4A, more than likely you're gonna be playing US eventually.....
Which is irrelevant to this poll. ::) It's an SETX poll, when did Brenham get involved in this poll?
 12. Bullets, being first in these pickem's is old hat for me. I come to expect it and so should you. ;) ;D
 13. Here they are Gabe. I did not put out an area or quarterfinal pickem due to time constraints.
 14. Nonsense? I think most folks with any kind of basketball intelligence would say that A&M had no business losing to tu in Austin. That's the first time I have ever seen a team win a game where they never led at any time for the entire regulation. tu tied the game at the end, then won it in OT. A&M lost that game more than tu won it. But, a win is a win. I still say A&M is the better team. Not most talented, but better team of the two.
 15.
Will Silsbee get turf in their stadiuim for this comming season have rumors.
Still being discussed at board meetings. It has hit a couple of bumps in the road. Trying to get all the ducks in a row. ;)
 16. I'll take the coaches opinions on this subject. ;)
 17. Why is Barry Bonds even part of this conversation? Get back on topic please.
 18. Good stuff Chad, right on the money. Trust me, after talking to Travis, Silsbee will not overlook WOS. I really look for them to have a tough game with the Mustangs, but their experience will prevail in the end. Tigers take it, 63-53. Nothing will ever surprise me about HJ. If they beat Cleveland, it may be an upset in most folks minds, but nothing monumental. HJ definitely has the coaching edge and that goes a very long way. New Waverly beating Kountze would not surprise me. Coach Billy Goffney has looked at this date all season. He knows exactly what he has to do to win, get Brey on the bench. On the flip side, Duane knows what he has to do, keep Brey on the floor. A part of me wants to go to this game because I think it's the best matchup in the state for the quarterfinal round. I have also gotten to know Billy and Duane much better this year and would really like to see them in action against each other. This should be a great game, with Kountze coming out on top. I really love this Spurger team. You will not find better kids than what Coach Issacs has there at Spurger. The Pirates starting 5 is as solid as it gets. I really like how these kids play and how they are coached. They are truely a team, no prima donnas here. I think we'll see Spurger in Austin (and I don't mean just for their regional tourney)
 19. Right way, wrong way to play? What does that have to do with this discussion? BTW, my comments were to get Gabe to respond. He loves his Cards. ;D I know the game, played the game on the high school and collegiate level. I know the right way to play.
 20. There's no crying in baseball. ;)
