2. Michael Nelson, head baseball coach at Newton, was hired to be the next head baseball coach at Silsbee. Nelson is a a graduate of Silsbee High school and was a former standout player for the Tigers. Nelson played his college ball at Sam Houston State. Nelson also will be the new recievers coach for the Tiger football team. Congrats to Coach Nelson and good luck on your new coachig job!!
 3. According to DCTF, these are how many returning letterman and starters each team has for this coming season:                        Letterman        Starters O/D Bridge City             16                    7/5 Hamshire-Fann        19                  10/9 Hardin-Jefferson      12                   6/4 Orangefield             13                   5/6 Silsbee                  15                    8/7 WOS                     20                    6/7 All this time, I thought the Mustangs had 19 returning starters. ;) ;D I guess that's what I get for taking the word of a certain LCM grad. ;) ::)
 4.
What about the other flights? ??? Sports fans are curious.
When I get those results, I will post them.

HJ WOSSilsbee OFBCHF
Silsbee brings back a talented group headed by Stallworth, and WOS loses their coach...not sure I understand this one
True Blue is either being spiteful or has no clue. I think it's both.
 7.

Kind of off topic, but was wondering what the WOS enrollment is now and how close are they to 2A cutoff? I know it seems unlikely now, but do you 'Stang fans think there is a chance down the road that LCM and WOS might consolidate?   What would it take for this to happen, (when pigs fly and heck freezes over don't count. :D)
At this point the State would have to make it happen. The way I see it there are only two reasons for the State to come in and force a merger. 1) WOS academics and or financial situation doesn't get straightened out 2) LCM loses tax base (Inland Orange) Other than those two, I just don't see it happening. Although I'm not for it, it would be the best thing financially.
What are the odds of that? Your thoughts?
I will say this, I can see things getting better over there at WOS now that you guys have a Silsbee man running things, at least temporarily. ;) ;D
 8.
1. West Orange-Stark (DII) 2.  Silsbee (DI) 3.  Bridge City (DII) 4.  Orangefield 5.  Hamshire-Fannett 6.  Hardin-Jefferson
This was the predicted finish last year. The top 3 did make the playoffs only a difference in position. ;) ;D It is a smart move to predict WOS 1st though. We will see.
 9. Setting up for a good year next year for Tiger baseball. Adding Jenkins and Scoggins to the staff along with two all district pitchers in Flowers and Brown should help Silsbee have one of the better pitching staffs in 21-3A.
 10. TCU WINS!!! HORN FROGS HEADED TO OMAHA FOR FIRST TIME IN SCHOOL HISTORY!!!! Final tu        1 TCU      4
 11.
Don't know why they pulled Workman. We were only losing 1-0 with him in there.
I agree, should have left him in.
 12. Going to top of 9th tu        0 TCU     4 Horns down to their last 3 outs.
 13. Last 3 runs, both from HR's, coming off what is arguably the best reliever in college baseball in Chance Ruffin. ;) You're welcome, baddog. ::)
 14. Yep, another Horn Frog dinger. bottom of 8th tu      0 TCU    4
 15. Headed to top of 8th tu    0 TCU  3 Horns down to their last 6 outs.
 16.
Congrats great list: 7 Bobcats 5 Mustangs 5 Bears 4 Pirates 4 Cardinals
What, no Deweyville Pirates??  ;) ;D
 17.

I somewhat agree. BUT, according to SOME of the WOS fans, they were gonna be state champs last year. ;)
AAW, don't you really mean ONE of the WO-S fans?  These consistent jabs at you-know-who are too obvious.
Actually, you are mostly right but I said "some" because there were a couple of others who were on "you-know-who's" bandwagon too. Of course, the sensible one's like you, kicker, Grad, Gas, WOS-89 and others know better.
 18. Braxton Mayes of Anahuac should have gotten the West Offensive MVP. He scored both TD's along with making 3 other catches. The most productive offensive player all night for both teams.
 19.
that game was pretty boring to me.  the only good plays were the first and the last.  i hope next year more schools get into this. the newton quarterback...wow thats all im saying.  he had great pocket awareness and had a cannon for an arm and he could scramble.  for a few plays newton had the qb and rb in the game.  im assuming this would be newtons starting players.  #24 from silsbee,  imo.  the kid can do anything!  he was getting maaaaad when he wasnt running outside.  his family was sitting below us and they were even mad that they had him in every spot on the field slot, wr and back but kept on saying the WRs werent blocking.  congrats to all the kids who played in the game.  i hope this game helps you out in the future.  thanks for the entertainment tonight and the spicy chicken sandwich!
#24 was from Central, not Silsbee. Unless you are talking about #22, then that would be Chris Barnes of Silsbee.
 20. Back to back for both teams!!!! Congrats Aggies!!!
 21.

I say the South. I am with the South no matter what!! ;D
LOL! Glad to see you are feeling better, bud!
Well, I just can't seem to bring myself to pull for the same team as Kerry. I hope it ends in a tie. ;D
