1.
The Bulldogs are very confusing this year, they go from barely crawling by Anahuac in overtime to beating Ozen with Franks back. Who knows how they're going to play the next game.
I agree. Nederland has been very inconsistant this year. I watched them lose to Aldine Eisenhower in the YMBL, an Eisenhower team that just the day before lost to Silsbee 80-34! I am curious to see how they play from here on out.
 2. WOS will get the 3rd place spot in 21-3A.
 3.
Why dont Kirbyville play Silsbee in pre-season?
Probably because they are scared to play Kirbyville. ::) Of course, that came from a Kirbyville person. ;)

Has nothing to do with anything else.
Well, you can continue to be clueless about the rest of the SLC. Let others learn from my posts and information. Not like you care about the SLC anyways since you are probably a Big 12 guy as is...
Everyone knows why you post on this board. ;)
Same reason I post on most every other SLC board. We're all fans of the same conference. We are all sharing information and gathering information and learning about the foes, opponents we'll face in this league.
Blow that smoke somewhere else. You post to criticize Lamar and poke fun at, not to supply information. You're kidding yourself if you think folks on here think of you any other way.
 5. BTW, where are the Hill folks? Oh I know, they are readjusting the brackets to their tourney to give themselves more of an advantage thinking they need it after this loss. ;) ;D
 6. I say let Randy run his program like he thinks it should be run, which includes the schedule. Do I agree with him possibly dropping WOS and Bridge City? No, but I won't criticize him for it.
 7.
::) Makes alot of since!!!
Wouldn't that be "sense"? ;)

 9. Game summary scoring by quarters               1      2      3      4  tot Jasper      8    13    13    10    44 Silsbee    21    10    23    22    76 In the 1st quarter, Silsbee jumped out to a 16-3 lead led by D.C. Stallworth's 8 early points, the first two points of the game came off a rebound dunk from Stallworth! Silsbee extended it to 21-4 with about 2 minutes left in 1st but Jasper went into a full court press and forced some turnovers by the Tigers and closed the quarter scoring the last 4 points, ending it at 21-8 Silsbee. Stallworth finished the quarter with 10 points. The second quarter was a slop fest on both sides but more so for Silsbee as the Jasper press broke the rhythm of the Tiger offense, creating some more turnovers and getting a couple of steals. Silsbee still used their height advantage on the offensive glass, getting some putbacks. Silsbee and Jasper basically traded baskets the last 3 minutes of the quarter, ending the half with Silsbee leading 31-21. Stallworth led all scorers with 15 in the first half. The second half started off promising for the Bulldogs as they trimmed the double digit Tiger lead, which Silsbee enjoyed since the 6 minute mark of the 1st, to single digits, 33-25. But, that was as close as the Dawgs would get. Silsbee went on a 13-1 run, led by Prentice Lane and Avory Thomas. Lane hit 2 three pointers and Thomas crashed the boards on the offensive end, getting a couple of buckets along with drawing some fouls from the shorter Jasper players. The run ended on a rim rattling dunk from Thomas after getting an assist from Stallworth. Both teams played even, scoring 8 points apiece to finish the 3rd with Silsbee leading by 20, 54-34. Silsbee's last 3 points of the quarter came from an alley-oop dunk and one from Stallworth to Thomas!! Thomas led all scorers in this quarter with 10 points. The 4th quarter was just a continuance of the 3rd as Silsbee continued to use their height advantage, crashing the boards on the offensive end, getting plenty of second chance points. Also, during the 3rd and 4th quarters, Silsbee had figured the Jasper press out and was able to break it on numerous occasions, leading to some easy baskets. Silsbee built as much as a 36 point lead, at 74-38, but the Tiger reserves played a little sloppy in the end, committing some fouls sending Jasper to the line where the Dawgs made the freebies. Final score, 76-44. The man of the second half was Silsbee's '6"7 senior post Avory Thomas. Avory scored all of his 17 points in the second half and he had 7 of his 8 total block shots in the second half. He was a monster down inside. He also had 11 rebounds for the game. Stallworth finished with 21 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. Prentice Lane had 19 points, going 4 for 8 from the three point line. For Jasper, no Bulldog got into double figures in scoring as they were led by Thompson's 9 points and Myers' 7. Silsbee's height advantage was evident at the free throw line as the taller Tigers drew fouls from the shorter Dawgs. Silsbee went to the line 32 times, making 22, shooting 68% from the line. Jasper was 14-25 from the line, 56%. Silsbee also out rebounded the Bulldogs, 39-27. It was a solid win for the Tigers over an over matched Jasper team. Silsbee's overall length will cause many matchup problems with teams left on their schedule. If they continue to get better guard play, Silsbee has a real chance of making another run to Austin.
 10. We'll discuss Lamar football, not Sam football. ;) SLC talk will arise when Lamar plays a SLC school. TT, you're not fooling anyone. You post only to promote Sam and belittle Lamar, it's very obvious.
 11. How did Franks play?
 12.
ozen wont win district
I agree.
 13. Quick report of Silsbee scoring leaders. Stallworth  21 Lane         19 Thomas     17 (all Avory's points came in the 2nd half) Thomas also had 11 rebounds and 8 block shots( 7 of which came in 2nd half) I'll have a full report tomorrow.
 14.

But does this message board need someone to post who Sam's next coach will be? I don't think so. ::) TT, go away.
AggiesAreWe, is Lamar in the SLC? Or the Big 12? I did not even post the news re: SHSU's new coach on any other board, yet it is part of talk on EVERY football board in this league. From San Marcos to Hammond. From Natchitoches to Lake Charles. If you guys are going to compete in this league, you should learn about the teams you are to compete against. It's called being an educated fan and quite frankly, why I read your board. Unfortunately, as I am learning, most of the fans here do not seem to care about the other schools in the league, let alone the 'focus' of this board...the Lamar Cardinals. If it weren't for me posting other SLC news, you guys would be in the dark. Then again, most of you already are about Lamar based on threads regarding the football stadium, so it'd just be a little consistency in your lives.
That's pretty funny that you actually think you are doing us a favor by posting here on this board. Trust me, you wouldn't be missed.
 15. Good district road win for East Chambers.

 22. Looks like an 8:15 start time to our broadcast.
 23. I'm sorry, but Orangefield is not suppose to lose to Sabine Pass. Terrible loss for the Bobcats.
 24.
One of the players just told me 7 seniors 3 juniors. OF returns all but one!!!  ;D
That's a lot of seniors for a JV.
