  1. Why does this not surprise me?? ??? Typical BISD. hahaha you guys are pitiful oh well BISD will still remain the best school district in the area......no matter what you guys on here think Take it from an educators point of view, BISD is far from being the best district in this area.
  2. I was very proud of the Tiger's effort in the second half overcoming the adversity in the first half. The guys came out playing Tiger Ball in the second half and that kind of team effort will spell much success for this team as we enter the playoffs. Great job, Tigers.
  3. No. Kelon Archer started in place of Prentice last night.
  4. Update on Silsbee guard Prentice Lane: Prentice suffered a season ending knee injury last night during warmups and will be out at least 8 weeks. Lane is a soph. guard who has started the last 10 games for Silsbee coming into the Orangefield game. Prentice was one of the Tiger's best defenders and Silsbee will definetly miss his athleticism from that guard spot. Lane was a vital part of the Tiger's success and will be sorely missed. I hope and pray for a speedy and successful recovery for Prentice and look forward to seeing "Petey" on the football field in the fall.
  5. Still, the fact remains that Saveat was informed of Jefferson's arrest last night BEFORE their game against Central, yet BISD did nothing to Jefferson as he played in the game, scored 18 points. You would think that BISD would have suspended Jefferson when they found out BEFORE the game last night just to keep themselves out of any pending trouble. It should have been done just for precautionary reasons. But no, they let him play and we all know why.
  6. The one thing that sticks out to me is how some are saying Saveat did not know, including Saveat. I agree that he may not have known from the beginning, but he knew last night according to the article and still let Jefferson play. If I understand the article, he was asked about Jefferson's arrest before the game last night, therefore he knew then but still played Jefferson. Why?

  8. Has there been an FOI filed on the Jasper ISD?
  9. It's like I said earlier in the season when I was a few games behind, I just gave you guys a head start. Now the cream is rising to the top. I bet at the end of the season I will be ahead of you. We'll see.

  12. I totally agree with that one, Chad.
  13. Thanks, Soulja, appreciate the kind words.
  14. Silsbee struggled in the first half as I think they were still coping with the fact that they may have lost a starter for the season during warmups. Prentice Lane, soph. starting guard went down with an apparent knee injury during warmups and initial reports have him with a pretty serious knee injury. Along with Lane being out, Silsbee also was without '6"6 junior post Avory Thomas, who was out with an illness. This was not the kind of start the Tigers were anticipating but to Orangefield's credit, the Bobcats took good advantage of that as they came to play in the first half. Silsbee never led in the first half, getting down as much as 10 points, 26-16. The Tigers cut the lead to 1, 32-31, with a 15-6 run with 3 seconds left, but the Tigers were called for a foul on Orangefield's Granger as he was attempting a halfcourt shot at the buzzer. Granger hit 2-3 freethrows to make the halftime score Orangefield 34 Silsbee 31. The second half was all Silsbee. The Tigers came out blazing in the third quarter as they went on to outscore the Bobcats 27-7 in the quarter. Silsbee had several steals and layups as the Tigers relentless defensive pressure took it's toll on the Bobcats. Silsbee led after 3, 58-41. In the fourth, Silsbee extended their lead to as much as 30, 72-42, with a 14-1 run with 3 minutes left in the game. Coach Williams then emptied his bench and sat the starters the rest of the game as the Tigers cruised to a 29 point win, 83-54. Silsbee outscored Orangefield in the second half, 52-20. Silsbee showed why they are the class of 21-3A as they overcame adversity in the first half and then destroyed Orangefield in the second half. The Tigers hopefully will get Thomas back for Friday night's game at HF and we will wait and see about Lane's injury. Good game Tigers, I was glad to be able to be out there to broadcast one for a change.
  15. I agree! I would like to know who is responsible for letting the coach know? Now don't get me wrong, I know that alledge rape charges is far serious than drug charges, but a crime is a crime when it involves an athlete. There is due process and things the student athlete has to adhere to when under these charges. It can't be swept under the rug. Baby, I don't think this will cause Ozen to forfiet any games. This is not against UIL rules but against supposedly school policy.
  16. So I see that Jefferson played in this game. :
  17. Misery continues. Texas St. 77 Lamar 72
  18. McNeese's '09 recruiting class is better than LU's. Anyone is kidding themselves if they think otherwise.

  20. Roc says he's going to give himself a couple of days off away from the team. Probably do the team more good than him.
  21. Roc says he's tired of losing. : Then do something about it!!!!
