In 3A, if a team wins district, they get a bye in the Bi-District round. Then play Area, Quarterfinal, Regional Semifinal, and Regional Finals to advance to Austin. Regional semis and finals in Region III are held at the Regional tourney in Huntsville. Runnerup and 3rd place all play the Bi-District round.

Navasota had no player '6"5. The two in the photo were '6"2 and '6"3. BTW, the photo is a pic of the alley oop from Kelton Gaines (the other Silsbee player in photo) to DC. It was a perfect lob pass from Kelton on the run.
Would someone please pull the fire alarm right before tip so as to delay the start of the game!!!!!! Have to work until 2 and won't make it until about 2:20!!! ;D ;D ;D
For your sake, let's hope the freshmen and JV games go to overtime. As for me, I am hoping for a 1:30pm start, gives me an earlier start over to the boat tonight. ;D
Has Travis not been on the bench since Jasper game?
He coached at West Brook( Dec. 31) for the first time since Jasper (Dec. 17), but will not do any coaching today.

Freshman game starts at 11am, varsity should be around 1:45pm. DC Stallworth will start this game after missing the last 5 games. Coach Travis Williams will not be on the bench today. James Collins and Ira Brooks will handle the coaching duties.
Good game, Bears. You held it together When we put on a run at the end.  My Jags had their chance in this one... When you're up by 3 late, there is no need to press.  Hold on the ball and make them D up and foul you...  Also, I didn't see any matchup problems.  Should have went man defense all night.  We'll need to find other scoring options when our leading scorer isn't available to contend in this district.
Why did Smith not play?

Ozen 3-0 in district. Vidor 1-2 in district.

I have seen Cleveland basketball as far back as the mid 70's, I have seen no other player from Cleveland that was as good as Craig Lillie. '6"6 wingman that could do it all. He was an awesome talent!

Two reigning district champions will do battle TODAY as the 23-3A Navasota Rattlers will take on the 21-3A, #7 state ranked, #1 SETX, #1 Beaumont Enterprise Silsbee Tigers at the Tiger Den at Silsbee High school.
