  1. LOL Hey Tiger85, had to get that one in. Lovin those Raiders! Just keep feeding me that shrimp gumbo and I'll keep riding that train till the tracks end.
  2. Uh, BIG HOUSE, I believe ST4LIFE is a Silsbee Tiger fan, not WOS. Regardless, he doesn't know what he is talking about.
  3. You can count on the Setxsports.com broadcasting team to be there. We had a great time last week. I enjoyed some great shrimp gumbo while watching my Aggies kick some t.u. tail.
  4. That's funny. Trust me, LaMarque is a good team, maybe not a great team, but a good team. They are far from being weak.
  5. It really doesn't matter in this stadium. Both sides seat the same, 5,000, and each has it's own press box. There won't be anymore seating from one side to the other.
  6. Both the home side and the visitor side at Deer Park holds 5,000. Each side has it's own press box which will be a good thing for us. We will be able to broadcast from the Lumberton side, which is a good thing. We will definetly have more room up there than we did last week. Stallworth home side seats 8,500. I believe that there was only about 1,000 seats at the most left open last friday. By my calculations, that will leave some 2,500 to 3,000 Lumberton fans standing this Friday night. Like I said, get there early. Also, someone will need to get with Deer Park ISD to check on the tailgateing access and how early they will allow it. Remember, this will be a school day for them, there maybe some restraints.
  7. Remember, Lumberton is the visiting team and I do believe the visiting side is smaller than the home side. Folks, get there early.
  8. Actually, the Texans play at Tennessee next Sunday. What I know about Reliant, they are really not that interested in doing high school games, but will do a couple if it is big 5a Houston schools. Those games that involved PNG and Nederland are not going to happen anymore. I was down on the field when Coach Creduer was talking to the Waller coach about a place to play. They had Deer Park lined up already but the Waller coach said that stadium would not hold all of the Lumberton faithful. It was then suggested to come back to Stallworth, but the Waller coach didn't want to. Waller suggested getting Rice or UH, Lumberton agreed, with both hoping to get Rice since it was a turf field and UH is natural grass. I don't know what happened to the Rice gig, but now they are in search of a stadium to play on Friday night because both coaches would rather play Friday. Where ever they play, Waller will be the home team, I personally saw that flip.
  9. I say R.C. Slocum with Craig Stump as the OC. Let Slocum get the program off the ground, then after 6-7 years, turn it over to Stump.
  10. IF WOS and Kirbyville do win this week to set up a rematch, I say play it at Tiger Stadium in Silsbee. As for the potential rematch of Lumberton and Dayton, I really wish Lamar Cardinal Stadium was in better shape, that would be a perfect place.
  11. I was unable to catch the broadcast but I did see on the 3adownlow where some of those guys were making fun of you guys. Ya'll must have been cutting up pretty good. I guess some of these guys expect a professional to do the broadcasts, but I don't know any that does it as cheap as we do. ;D
  12. Let's get something straight, it's a known fact that you, WOS92, have always had this sort of chip on your shoulder. You talk of people " intruding " on your precious thread about WOS's win over Giddings, but you have done that countless times to other threads. You have made comments about WOS in threads that have nothing to do with the Mustangs. The fact is, you are upset that the Raiders are getting all this attention and your precious Mustangs aren't getting their share. Nothing is being unjustly done here, it is what it is, more folks are just more excited about Lumberton's success this year than they are with WOS. That's not taking anything away from the Mustangs, they are having a great season too. But, you say that the WOS win over Giddings is a bigger upset, I beg to differ. I, along with several others, picked WOS to win this game even if Fitzhenry played. But with Brock not even seeing the field, WOS should have won this game by 2 td's. Yes, Giddings was #1, but that's with their best player playing and besides, we all know what rankings mean, absolutely nothing. Good win for both Lumberton and WOS. IMO, both these wins meant the same, both teams move on to the third round.
  13. I believe it to be a known fact now that " pounce " was actually patitan and he has been banned from this site.
  14. It will be played next Friday night at either Rice Stadium or Robertson Stadium on the campus of U of H. The location will be finalized in the morning.
  15. No one has cheapened the effort at all. It's just a fact, face it. I am pretty sure anyone with any basketball knowledge can see this clearly. Take 4 starters from the Nederland team and see what happens. Regardless, it goes down in the record books as a Nederland win, and that's what counts. Time will tell who the better team will be. My money is on Silsbee.
  16. Great post Jay. I agree whole-heartedly. One other thing to be thankful for, an Aggie win over t.u., and a Fran firing right after. ;D
  17. Folks, not trying to rain on ya'll's parade, but I strongly advise you to check with Goose Creek ISD to see if you can tailgate that early or at all. Some districts or cities have policies or ordainances that restrict those type of things. It's something that you just can't assume you can do without permission. We had to get permission from the Goose Creek ISD to broadcast this game for Lumberton. We have to do that for every game. I think you should be able to tailgate but you really should check first before you organize anything of this magnitude. I realize that you folks aren't experienced with this sort of thing, but it's best to check first.
  18. My sentiments exactly, Happy Thanksgiving!! Except for that one obvious differense there. ;D Gig'em Aggies!! Whooooooooooooop!!!
  19. Silsbee by 12, 80-68. Silsbee will have too much depth, Tigers will pull away in the 4th quarter.
  20. Congrats to the Lady Bulldogs, but don't get too excited. I mean, 4 of the Lady Tigers' starters did not even suit out for this game. I believe a full strength Silsbee squad takes this game easily.
  21. Is Lumberton the home team? Has that been confirmed?
  22. No. That is the only game at Stallworth on Friday.
  23. I agree BMTSoulja. I had my wife up in the broadcast booth with me last Friday night at the Lumberton game. She had a blast and was very helpful with our broadcast, getting us food, putting up banners, among other things. It was great to have her along.
  24. Like Lee Corso would say " Not so fast my friend ". I wouldn't claim district 21-3A a state powerhouse district just yet. These teams have only been together in this district for just 2 years and nobody has advanced past the second round yet. All three teams( Silsbee, WOS, Kirbyville) lost in the second round last year and the three teams( Jasper, WOS, Kirbyville ) have not even played their second rounds this year. There is a possibility of all three losing because of the quality of teams each are facing this week. Until this district( which btw, may not even exist next year ) has multiple teams go 3,4, and 5 rounds deep, you can't label it a state powerhouse district.
  25. I think it's safe to say, that whoever holds that record, it was done in 10 or less games since this was Lumberton's first ever 11th game.
