I can understand moving the game to this Thursday, but not next Thursday. Why do that? What are you really gaining from moving this game back a week?

Actually Liltex is right. If Livingston and Lumberton get in the playoffs, then PNG will go Div.I and play either Crosby or GC Memorial depending on the outcome of their game with Central. PNG only goes Div.II if 2 of these 3 teams make the playoffs, Central, Nederland, and Vidor. Central is already in and with them being the largest school in the district, they go Div.I. Nederland and/or Vidor have to make the playoffs to send PNG to Div.II. PNG is the 4th largest school in the district. Like Liltex said, if Livingston, Ozen, and/or Lumberton replace Nederland and Vidor as playoff teams, PNG will go Div.I

But "just" winning the game wasn't the main objective. Winning by 9 or more points was. I believe Huckaby going for it both those times represented that he knew exactly what his team needed to do to get to the playoffs, not just win this game.

I am with you on this one Gas. I think WOS facing Orangefield right before Coldspring will be very beneficial to the Mustangs. They should be well prepared.

Channelview actually with a shot of making the playoffs. RIDICULOUS!!! Just another proponent to why it's ludicrous to have 4 teams qualify for the playoffs out of a 6 team district. 2-8 team go to the playoffs, unbelievable! ::)

I tried my hardest last night to get Coach Davis and Coach Williams to move this game to Saturday so that we could broadcast this game but they said no. I would have really enjoyed broadcasting this game but I respect their decisions and totally understand them. Hopefully we can grab a playoff game for both teams later in the year.
