Kountze played zone most of this game. Played man in the 2nd half some.

Looks like my decision has been made for me. Texan Live will be doing both games (HJ/Silsbee girls and boys). I can come home later that night and watch both games. So I'll be heading to Winnie Tuesday night for Bi-District doubleheader with Hamshire-Fannett/Vidor and Huffman/WO-S.

Also, a coach can get a reprimand if he violates practice policies. Looking at the date of this reprimand, he could have violated practice policies by starting the season too soon, having practices on days not allowed or breaking the hours limit for the week. Several things can cause a public reprimand.

I believe he is referring to the 18-2 run after OF started out 10-0 (made the score 18-12 Kountze) Actually it was a 21-2 run for Kountze (led 21-12). The 35-12 run is how the first half ended. After OF started the game 10-0, Kountze then finished the first half out scoring OF 35-12 for a 35-22 halftime score. Basically the 18-2 run is within the overall 35-12 run. Hope that clarifies that issue.

If a coach gets a technical foul and ejected from the game, they get a public reprimand.

I will be very surprised if Silsbee boys score in the 90's.

At least in the 2nd half it was.

I don't keep individual stats but I would say Sells had around 10 attempts. Scales shot no FT attempts.

I'm only speaking about the numbers. My opinion about game officiating doesn't matter. The foul rule change has something to do with the fact that OF didn't go to the line as much. Now a team's foul count gets wiped clean after the first and third quarters where it used to just continue to add up. So basically the first half of the 2nd and 4th quarters are free to foul without sending a player to the line. Unless it's a shooting foul. The rule change helps a more aggressive team. I would agree that the officiating allowed for a more aggressive style of play last night. For both sides. Did the officials miss some calls? You bet. It happens every game I go too. But I don't think you can lay this game completely at the officials feet.
