  1. Nope. In 2020 season, HJ finished 3rd in district behind WO-S and Silsbee. Then lost to Bellville in 1st round.
  2. I rarely play Thursday night games but I couldn't resist Sam Houston getting 7 from Jack St. Sam is up 21-7 in 2nd Also took the over on this one. Line at 36
  3. Cita is really really good. They are manhandling West Brook up front on both sides of the ball. West Brook is not good. One of the weaker Bruin teams I have seen in a while.
  4. Is this 9th or JV?
  5. Right. But in that case, every team is ranked so every game will be a match up of ranked teams. I was talking about the weekly DCTF rankings, not the computer rankings.
  6. They weren't in top 10.
  7. Jasper won at home, 26-21
  8. 1. North Shore @ Sheldon C.E. King 2. Humble @ Humble Summer Creek 3. Humble Kingwood @ Beaumont United 4. Barbers Hill @ Goose Creek Memorial 5. Kingwood Park @ La Porte 6. Port Arthur Memorial @ Crosby 7. Nederland @ Dayton 8. Port Neches-Groves @ Texas City 9. Spring Legacy @ Little Cypress-Mauriceville 10. Hardin-Jefferson @ Silsbee 11. Jasper @ Hamshire-Fannett 12. West Orange-Stark @ Liberty 13. Crockett @ Coldspring-Oakhurst 14. Palestine Westwood @ Diboll 15. Woodville @ Shepherd 16. Anahuac @ Orangefield 17. Buna @ Kirbyville 18. Tarkington @ Hardin 19. Kountze @ Hemphill 20. Newton @ Anderson-Shiro 21. New Waverly @ Warren 22. Garrison @ Joaquin 23. Grapeland @ West Sabine 24. San Augustine @ Timpson 25. Chester @ Apple Springs
  9. I'm having a hard time picking this one.
  10. Like my good friend WOSGrad (may he rest in peace) would say: Time to lock this one up and move on. Game is over.
  11. I think a program that has made the playoffs every year the past 10 years, going 80-36 overall (including this season's 3-1) and 14-9 in playoffs (averaging making 2-3 round every year) with a state title appearance does not qualify as "below average". IMO, "below average" is winning less than 50% of your games overall and only making the playoffs 2, maybe 3 times, in that 10 years span and never ever making a state title game. I know many many coaches that would agree with me. You may have been a coach, but I have spoken to many other coaches who disagree with your assessment of PN-G. But like they say, everyone has their own opinion. I do agree with you in the fact you were speaking about FB Marshall's lack of coaching more so than discrediting PN-G for the win. BTW, that's two consecutive games PN-G has defeated FB Marshall. I don't think a "below average" program accomplishes that.
  12. Not yet. HoopInsider posted a mock ranking that was sent to them by a member but it's not the official rankings. That doesn't come out until late October.
  13. Not this realignment. Sups voted it down.
  14. Define "below average"? Simply talking about 5A DII. No sense in comparing to any other classification.
  15. You are right. Forgot about that one.
  16. Last realignment the cutoff number from 5A to 6A was 2225. 5A DI was 1925-2224 5A DII was 1300-1924 4A DI was 880-1299 4A DII was 545-879 3A DI was 360-544 3A DII was 250-359 2A DI was 164.5-249 2A DII was 105-164.4 1A DI was 59.5-104.9 1A DII was 59.4 and below It's been the common theme that every realignment the basement number for 6A has increased on average of around 60-75. So with that history, it can be assumed that the cutoff to 6A this coming realignment will be around 2275 to 2300. I think the bottom number for 5A DI will be 1960. Bottom for 5A DII most likely around 1325.
  17. UIL Snapshot Day will be Friday, Oct. 27. Enrollment numbers on this day will determine what classifications and divisions (football only) schools will participate in for the realignment for 2024-26.
  18. Yes, already had a thread on this subject.
