    While you're at it, explain the theory behind 7 years. Why not 5? Why not 6? Why not 8? Why not 9? Also, if you were the supt., would you recommend that Silsbee ISD hire a new head football coach since Coach Smith has been there for 7 seasons and no state championship yet?

    I was told it actually was from a speech at halftime of the game but could have been after. I saw Coldspring earlier this year and they weren't the normal Trojan team that I am accustomed to seeing. Losing a key player would definitely be a setback for this group. I agree, I believe Devers saw the writing on the wall and moved on.

    Head coach has been reassigned. According to sources, stemming from an incident in last game. Team had been struggling of late. This was head coach first year. Coldspring peeps, what's going on?

    Parking has always been a problem there and now is ridiculous because of construction. I was there earlier this season for Orangefield game. Managed to get a close spot in the back and came in the back door. Good to have connections.
